Ethereal Forest is a blue-green glitter suspended in clear jelly. I think this is probably more of a topper than a polish in its own right (you would need 3+ coats to build it up).
I used 1 coat over Essence Mermaid of the Galaxy (which is the same colour as the glitter, shimmer polish). I am not sure it was the best base, as you can hardly see the glitter. I will try it again in the future but over a darker base (possibly navy).
As a rule I am not an extra glitter sort of girl (unless it’s a special glitter), for that reason I wouldn’t repurchase this polish. However, Barry M polishes are very reasonably priced, so I wouldn’t discourage anyone trying it.
