Julep ‘s Caitlin is described by Julep as a “shocking hibiscus with gold shimmer.” It is a very bright pink, and it does have shimmer. However, the shimmer doesn’t look gold to me, just a colorless shimmer if that makes sense. Has a wonderful formula. It goes on so nicely. No streaking or patchiness. It does need at least three coats, though, which is the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 rating. The photo I uploaded shows only two coats with a top coat because I didn’t have time for more, and you can see my nail line. If three or four coats of polish don’t bother you, or you do thicker coats, AND you need a bright pink with a shimmer, this is a good one. I do thin coats, so two definitely wasn’t enough. Wear time was great. I put it on Tuesday (with base coat and top coat) and it was still perfect Saturday when I took it off.
Another plus for the Julep polishes is the brush. It’s really nice! It is wide (like the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure but doesn’t taper in like it) and flat which makes for a neat easy manicure.

I was looking for a dusty lavender to replace my rapidly diminishing bottle of OPI Parlez vous OPI. This was not a dupe (or even close), but I liked it nonetheless. Zoya Caitlin is more blue learning that Parlez Vous OPI, but the formula is what I have come to expect from Zoya: not great. While the polish tends to be self-leveling, the shape of the brushes (narrow and thick so that it doesn’t fan out), makes it hard for me to apply the polish evenly. I MUCH prefer the OPI wide brushes.
However, the colour is gorgeous and I used it as a base for Butter London No More Waity Katie, which I love. It’s my favourite purple combination that wore at my Bachelorette party with a silver dress. I think the trouble is worth it if you love the unique colour.

Zoya Cailtin, how I love thee. It’s what I wanted without knowing it. More lavender than Petra or Kelly. Sometimes gray, sometimes bluish, sometimes dusty lilac. Nice creamy finish, opaque in two coats. Beautiful with my NW20 skin. I had not given this polish a second thought until several of you named it as one of your favorites. Thank you so much Nail Board!!!

Zoya Caitlin is a beautiful color. It’s a dusty medium between blue, gray, and lavender. Sophisticated color for the autumn and winter months.
Application was a bit tricky. It applies smoothly, but the way that the brush is designed causes it to pick up too much polish. It’s very hard to get the right amount of polish on your nails because it either ends up too thick and goopy or too thin. This was my first Zoya nail polish, and given its reputation, I expected a lot more.

This is a great dusty, light purple creme polish. I love the formula of Zoya polishes, and this is no exception. Opaque in 2 coats. I gave this an overall of 4 because the polish is great, but not very unique. Can be easily duped, I just happened to not have anything line it.

I own about 8 Zoya polishes, and this is by far my favorite color. It applies smoothly and is a gorgeous cream lavender-gray. I love it on it’s own and it is also great for layering under Butter London’s No More Waity Katie. <3 <3

I thought this was real close to a denim blue. I too am not thrilled with the way this applies. It’s either too thin or too thick…hard to get it right. I prefer a more opaque creme, but the color is versatile, it can look like a lavender, a denim or a purple, depending on the light or your skintone.

This is a dusty grey deep purple/blue. Kind of reminds me of $OPI’s Metro Chic but bluer. It has a cream finish and looks smooth a glossy on the nails. Two coats is what I like.
