Valentina is from Summer Shimmers 2016 Collection. It’s a sheer teal/turquoise jelly. It cannot be built up to full opacity. I remember seeing a swatch of Valentina over another ILNP polish, called Super Juiced and I have fallen in love with that picture and wanted this polish ever since. However, this is my most disappointing ILNP polish to date.
I used it as a topper (I am not a fan of this polish on its own). Although my base polish wasn’t the aforementioned Super Juiced, it was a very similar shade by China Glaze. And although the result was pretty (see my picture), it wasn’t as transformingly mesmerising as I expected. I tried it over a couple of other colours, but none looked as good as I hoped.
For me Valentine is a no-no as a polish in its own right and I am not keen on it as a topper, so definitely would not repurchase (in fact, unlikely to ever use it again).
