I did a lengthy review for KW Adore and don’t want to repeat all that, so I’ll give just the basics. Kjaer Weis recently added lipsticks, glosses, and pencils to their line. Previously, they’d only had Lip Tints (which I love), but sometimes you just want a lip product in a tube, you know? I chose Believe, which is sort of a nebulous color–warm medium pink is the best I can come up with, but it’s described on the KW site as “A classic neutral plum.” In keeping with the KW philosophy, it comes in a refillable component. The silver holder is heavy, hefty, fairly thick, and bears the KW logo. It feels great in your hand, like all of KW’s components, the swivel mechanism works flawlessly, and it closes securely (although there’s no click). The lipstick bullet, which is conventionally shaped (slanted), comes in a small, lidded, plastic capsule of sorts that’s very easy to pop in and out of the tube, store, and keep your refills fresh. The bullet retracts fully into the tube, so there’s no mess. The texture is of this is very creamy compared to Adore, which is less creamy but has better staying power and doesn’t bleed. There is no scent except maybe the faintest hint of shea butter. The problem started when I applied it, ready for that everyday neutral-plum goodness. Well, it is straight-up orange on my lips, and if you Google the shade, you’ll see the same color on people’s lips, but not in the tube. For me, it’s an unwearable color. If you have to buy blind (KW is not easily accessible), I cannot urge you strongly enough to purchase from a site that offers samples (there are several) and save yourself a $36 mistake like the one I made. KW lipsticks are expensive ($56 for one shade and a component; $36 for a refill) and the tube is heavy and bulky (what is it with lipstick packaging having become a huge space-consumer lately?), but if you want clean beauty that’s high quality and you can find a shade that works for you (there are only eight right now), this may be what you’re looking for. I would not repurchase this shade, but i had the case to house Adore, which I do, in fact, adore.

I am so excited I can’t even decide what to say. Believe is perfect. It’s a gold/silver that is totally opaque with really beautiful fine glitter in shades of green, pink, silver, gold. Although it is a golden hue, it does not come across as a warm shade, but looks wonderful on a cool-toned fair skinned person. The bottle is adorable and it goes on perfectly. The brush is skinny and is very easy to work with. I think I am going to be a Lippmann addict after this.
Also, wears very well – no chipping or peeling, minimal wear

This color is really unique, elegant, and gorgeous. If you’re looking for a festive polish that isn’t red or some other dark shade, this one is perfect.
Update May 2, 2010: I’m knocking off some lippies because this polish takes on a greenish cast as it ages in the bottle, definitely not the shade I was raving about. I discovered this when I went to apply it and wondered why the colour had changed so much. Weird.

I love this gorgeous shimmery taupey, goldy, pinky, champagne color! I would venture to say it’s my all time favorite polish. I bring it to get manicures done. If I use it myself, it chips off pretty easily. This is hard for me to find…I hope the aren’t discontinuing it! I will choose to “Believe” they are not! Ha! This the polish made for Cher. $15 at Nordstroms when I bought it.
