Be Daring is from Orly’s Adrenalin Rush collection, and it is fantastic! It’s a rich purple neon creme, but it’s less in your face than a highlighter yellow, bright orange, etc. I have never worn neons because I always thought they were more appropriate for teenagers and college students, but because it is a more subtle neon, I thought I pulled it off for my vacation polish. It truly shines in sunlight, too! Many video reviews say it’s a one coater. That is probably true if you tend to do thicker coats. However, I do a very thin first coat, so I had to do two coats. On some nails, the sides of my nails needed a third layer, but because they were thinner coats, it was not bad. Plus, the formula is outstanding, and the brush is nice, too. It is smaller (as compared to Sally Hansen Salon Manicure, Wet N Wild Megalast, OPI, etc), but that actually made painting the cuticle base very easy and mistake free. If you love bright, in your face neons, you might not like this because it’s more muted. However, if you are like me and have not thought you could pull off a neon at your age, in your profession, etc, you might try this. It’s a good punch of fun summer color without being obnoxious.
Also fyi, it dries pretty quickly and to a matte or semi-matte finish like most neons do. If you want your nails glossy, like I always want mine, just put a top coat on, and you are set! I used a new top coat from Essie, called Gel Setter, with this, and if you want to know about it, I wrote a review on that, as well. It’s good, people! Happy polishing!!!
