I bought this polish online. I was getting a couple of China Glaze polishes when I came across this brand and decided to try a bottle. I was unable to get any details online about this brand. On the bottle it says ‘made in U.S.A.’, which surprised me due to the spelling of the word ‘colour’. They claim to be 5 free (no DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor).
I like the appearance of the bottle, it reminds me of Morgan Taylor design, but ACR has a metallic-looking top with ‘Artistic’ printed on it, which serves as a grip. The brush is medium to thin. This polish cost me £7.95 (15ml bottle), which is not cheap, but not too expensive either.
Caviar for Breakfast is a purple, metallic polish with blue glass flecks. It reminded me of Hard Candy Wild Child, which also has blue flecks, but the latter is much warmer – they looked completely different side by side. The blue flecks are a little lost on the nail.
I can’t fault the formula of this polish. I know metallic polishes can be difficult to deal with, but not this one. I used 2 coats for perfect opacity. I can’t speak for the overall longevity, as I change my nail colour frequently.
Overall, I liked the polish I picked and I am happy with the brand. I wouldn’t hesitate buying from them again.
