Butter London has become my favorite brand of polish. The formulas are typically super thin and dry quickly, plus they become opaque after two coats (I’m a two-coat kind of person. I want the polish to look perfect after two coats, no more, no less). Cream polishes have the best staying power, but even their shimmer and metallic shades are incredibly resistant to chips. This was a little less impressive than the rest of the brand. It took three hefty coats to make the polish opaque and by then I was so short on time I couldn’t apply a top coat. The polish lasted about a day and a half without chips (still no top coat). I haven’t tried it with top coat, though I speculate that would extend the life of the polish another day. The color was nice, a muted/grayed medium turquoise. It ended up feeling muddier than in the bottle, so that was also a letdown. Because it took three coats and the color didn’t blow me away, I don’t see myself going for this shade very often, as I have a lot of other turquoise and teal polishes to choose from. I wouldn’t buy this again.

This is a great color – I got compliments after I applied it (which never happens!). It’s hard to describe (which is what I love about Butter London’s lacquers) – a muted (but still bright) aqua/blue, with a touch of gray. I’m not really a pink or red polish girl, so this is my go-to summer color now. The formula is good – it spreads easily and 2 coats creates an opaque and smooth finish. Try it!

I really like this color. Its a gorgeous auqa blue with grey-ish undertones. This is my first Butter polish and it was a gift…not yet sure if I would be willing to plop down $14+ for a nail polish. I really love the color but the formula had it’s pros and cons. Seemed to dry really fast which is kind of a good thing but that also meant it was difficult to brush on w/o streaking. It seemed almost…sticky or something. But in its defense I will say I am wearing a full manicure now with not one chip so maybe they are doing something right!

The color looked pretty on the website but when I tried it, it was boring and too grey for my taste. I returned it.

One of my all-time favourite polishes, hands down. Flawless coverage in two coats, with a really great brush that soaks up polish. One minor thing: it’s squishy, so the temptation to put on more polish should be mentioned to avoid pooling.
I’d say that this is a grey-toned turquoise. It sounds odd, but it’s a grittier, slightly darker answer to OPI’s Mermaids Tears and Essie’s Turquoise and Caicos. This has a little more grey and taupe in the formula to produce a completely gorgeous colour. I couldn’t recommend Artful Dodger more highly.

This formula is true to its name: it goes on smooth as butter. It’s a lovely high gloss, and covers opaquely in just one coat.
Artful Dodger is a fabulous medium-blue with grayish tones, but though it’s gray, it certainly pops as a mani or pedi because of its awesome glossiness. A little similar to OPI’s Suzi Says Feng Shui, just reminiscent though, certainly not identical.
Would buy again. This formula rocks.
