Antique Brooch is a glitter polish, consisting of light pink glitter and gold micro flakes – very sparkly. It shifts from pale to rose gold in different lighting. I own a miniature bottle, which was a part of Ciate’s last year advent calendar.
First coat applies sheer, but it is easy to build up and the glitters distribute evenly. I used 3 coats to get full opacity. I one on the previous reviews I have read that it is easy to peel off, so knowing how difficult it is usually to take off glitter polish I tried it and to my surprise it worked really well – most nails came off in one sheet without damaging my nails.
The reason I gave it such a low score is because this polish looked awful on me. I couldn’t wait to take it off. I am not sure whether it’s the glitter or the pale gold that did it, but I kept looking at my nails in different lighting and nothing made it any better.

Goes on evenly, smoothly and the tiny sequins, etc distribute well. I have had other polishes where I had to do extra work with it to make sure that some of the ‘sparkles/sequins’ onto my nails and hated that. This is amazing…the color is really unique ! I had no trouble with any chipping, etc.
This goes well with white, yellow and rose gold for those of you who like to co-ordinate their look.
Oh and part of the reason why I bought this? I love the name 🙂

Pretty gold sparkle/glitter polish without the hassle of glitter polish removal. It just peels off! Lasts longer with a top coat of Gelous. The sparkle is fine and evenly dispersed in the clear base with occasional larger flecks of gold spangles. Can be used as a sheer layer or 3 layers to get a more opaque glitter effect.
