I love this color! This red is a more blue-red. It takes around 3 coats (well really 2 but the 3rd one for me seems to make a difference) to get that shiny apple red! If you apply a no chip coat it will last pretty long and the quality is decent. However, I will say that in comparison to OPI I prefer OPI as their nailpolishes tend to be a better quality and last longer even with out the no chip coat. I do like Essie and will continue to purchase their nail polish.

My first red nail varnish and certainly will be my only. It’s amazing- long lasting & lovely. Stayed on for 5days- just started to chip on my last day.
I must admit it has been a love-hate relationship. At first i put it on too thick and with Essie polishes being notorious for some formulas to take too long to dry, many times it would literally peel off. Not chip, but peel.
Recently I have put on a v thin layer, wait an hour then put on another wait an hour then top coat it. It looks lovely on my dark hands & doesn’t highlight the darkness of my knuckles- a pet peeve of mine.

I have been looking for the “perfect red” for a long time.
This is without a doubt the all around classic red for me, the colour is beautiful. There is no shimmer or glitter, which is great, its just a pure red, that’s not too bright or too dull.
To me this is a little more blue based than orange, but very in the middle. I have olive skin, with yellow undertones and this shade is very flattering on me. It would suite any skin tone, and would look great in any season.
The formula is very easy to work with, it’s a “jelly”, and gives an amazing colour pay off in one coat.
