I dont understand how this is the least popular Venus pallete, I use this one BY FAR the most out of all 4 that I own.
These all blend like a dream, smoothest shadows Ive ever worked with, pigmentation is incredible as well, BUT these fade. A lot. Using an eyeshadow primer solves this.
The only Venus pallete I would repurchase.

Lime Crime’s popular Venus palette contains eight powder eyeshadows in warm shades inspired by Botticelli’s classical painting crossed with 90s grunge, and Venus II takes that theme & amps up the nu-grunge factor with by introducing some neutral & cooler shade selections; Pigeon (pearl with brown/green shift ), Filter (luminous cornflower blue satin), Marsh (mossy grey-green satin), Mustard (creamy matte corduroy), Fly (pearl with ivory/green green shift), Jam (creamy matte pumpkin spice), Mud (creamy matte rich burgundy-brown) and Boot (sparkle matte nebula black with multi-color sparkle).
For me the stars of Venus II are the pearl shades Pigeon and Fly, as they’re so unique and feel very creamy. I have dark blue eyes, so nearly every time I use this palette I gravitate towards Mustard and/or Jam – they really make my eye colour pop. At first Mud seemed boring and I ignored it, but now I love how it is clearly brown, but has a lovely wine-toned undertone to it. I don’t usually like blue or green eyeshadows, but there is something about these ones that keeps me coming back for more. Finally; I’m not on for using black eyeshadow often, but Boots is so pigmented and doesn’t fall out much, and makes a great liner when applied with a damp brush.
There are only eight shades in the Venus II palette, but the pricing is reasonable enough to excuse this, especially considering the awesome product quality. The powders are a pleasure to work with; they apply and blend like butter, don’t fade over the course of the day [no primer] and I’ve never had any creasing. The satin, pearl and sparkle finishes don’t transfer when used in the crease, so that’s another plus.
I’ll buy Venus II again if I lost as the shades are new-to-me and the colour-story is unique – I think that Venus II is the most authentically curated out of all 4 Venus palettes. The only downside for me is that the Venus I, III and XL palettes contain shadow shades that appeal to me all year round, whereas I tend to only reach for Venus II during autumn/winter, but that downside is personal taste, rather then product quality. I highly recommend this palette to people who don’t mind using multiple palettes for one look to make it more of a “all rounder”.

I don’t know how I never reviewed this, because I unabashedly love this palette. I love all kinds of orange, warm brown, yellow, autumn-y colors (according to Color Me Beautiful I am an autumn, so it makes sense) and this palette delivers those and more. Along with the colors of fall leaves, there are also neat green, duochrome, and sky blue shades that somehow all work together so wonderfully. I have done a lot of very cool eye looks with this palette, and I reach for it more than the majority of what is in my stash. I love Venus 1 and Venus XL more than Venus 2, but Venus 2 is great in its own right regardless. I own a shit-ton of eyeshadows, but I never really had anything like the colors in Venus 2. I really love the shade Fly as an inner corner highlight, and Pigeon is the coolest brown with duochrome shadow I have ever used. I love Mustard and Jam a lot too, and they’re great crease shades for a rusty eye look. There are no duds in this palette, and all of the shadows are amazing quality. Venus 2 is definitely in my top 10 palettes of life, so it is well-deserving of five lippies.

I love this ALMOST as much as the first Venus palette. This one is almost as great, accept some shadows might be little less pigmented (Filter, mainly) but the pigmentation is still great. The color palette is very interesting, very grungey. What initally drew me to this palette were the shades Mustard, Jam and Pigeon. My least favorite would be Boot, I’m just not crazy about blacks with glitter. Overall a great and interesting palette.

I prefer this palette to the original venus (I bought them at the same time as a bundle). The colours are all unique and stunning and you could create so many different looks with this palette. I love the packaging too. The shadows are all very pigmented although they need to be blended well.

I don’t enjoy this palette as much as the original Venus palette but there are some really unique shades in this one, and like the original Venus palette, I’m obsessed with the packaging.
‘Jam’, ‘Mud’ and ‘Pigeon’ are my favourite shades, all are stunning and easy to work with. I really like ‘Mustard’ too as it’s such a unique shade but it doesn’t look good on me and can make me look a little ill (I’m going to keep playing with it to try to get it to work though!). ‘Filter’ is also stunning to look at but is a colour I’ll barely use.
Still, I’m happy with my purchase and do use a few colours fairly regularly. I’m happy I bought it just for the packaging. 🙂

the best way to describe a lime crime palette would be to say its “unconventional beauty”.
this is an unconventional product. you wouldn’t be able to buy it anywhere else. its nothing you could throw together on your own. no one thinks hmmm orange, brown, and blue would look great together on my eyes. but the way these colors blend together, completely made for each other is quite conventional. your end product is a conventionally beautiful combination that you’d never expect just looking at the palette. these colors go together in a way that only someone with a deep understanding of color and formula could understand. so my hat goes off to doe deere and her team! this is a wonderful product with superior quality in both the shadow and the gorgeous packaging, unmatched in my opinion! i will continue to purchase palettes from lime crime as long as they continue with this level of quality, creativity, and unconventionality.
so i was excited when i purchased venus 1 and it FAR surpassed my expectations so naturally i expected to be slightly less wowed by this but i wasn’t! i got it in the mail and immediately tested it and saw it was just the same as the last! each color blends together perfectly (believe it or not) . each color is unique and in style while still being a classic timeless shade! I’m completely obsessed same as last time! i highly suggest this palette! its highly pigmented and highly wearable! if you are nervous about the shades, don’t be! these palettes are a highly gratifying splurge!
i apply this with ud primer and a buxom brush usually. will add pictures.

Basically just ok. Pigmentation is acceptable, but not much more. It needs a good primer to stick, otherwise it fades very quickly.

The Venus 2 palette is not quite as pigmented as its predecessor, but it is still a very nice palette. I like to use it in conjunction with the original Venus, but you can still create amazing looks with this palette alone. I know the cornflower blue looks a little disjointed in the palette, but it’s actually surprisingly pretty and it really does work well. The pigmentation as I mentioned before is not crazy out of this world but it is still good eyeshadow. I would compare the pigmentation here to most Mmakeup geek shadows. And the colors blend very nicely. I would repurchase this palette, but I don’t think it’s as much as a must have as the original Venus.
