This palette is absolutely amazing. It contains all the cheek products you need for a full face so it’d be great for traveling. The shades are very pigmented but still blend seamlessly. Also, all of them work on my fair skin when applied with a light hand, but I could see it working for light to medium skin just as well. Totally recommend.

It is worth noting as best as I can tell that comparing this to Smashbox’s Light/Medium Contour trio and the Contour/Highlight shades from their 2018 Holiday Face palette – that the Matte Highlight, Matte Contour and Matte Bronze shades are the same colors across all three palettes. If you have either of the other 2, you may want to hold off for that reason. Out of all three, I strongly prefer this palette! I am not sure what is different but this palette is much smoother, blends easier and layers nicer IMO. I find the other 2 contour palettes require more effort to work with, can be more powdery, drier in formula although the colors are nice. I am NC20 and do not find this to be “too pigmented” as some reviewers but I also have a lighter hand applying powders.
The packaging isn’t anything spectacular but I do like how nice it is to have everything in one reasonably sized COMPACT palette. The holiday palette is so bulky that I rarely use it (and will likely depot it one of these days.) There are two shimmer highlight shades, thankfully glitter-free and radiant vs blinding. The light Champagne color I like to use on my cheek bones or mixed in with the blush. The darker highlight is a bit much for me but it is actually pretty nice on the eyes. I would liken it to MAC Amber Light’s eyeshadow. A good one and done shade if you are short on time. And finally, the blush was a real surprise here. It looks really drab, sort of similar to Benefit Dallas but matte in the pan. On the skin it is quite a neutral peachy and brightening color. All the colors work really well here and can be layered from natural to glam. And again, even though there are re-promoted shades included here, the formula/quality is noticeably higher for some reason.

I bought this palette on a recent trip. I needed a bronzer and this palette came highly recommended by Ulta employees. And if I had deeper skin tone or a more deft hand this would be a keeper. But every time I try to use it I look like I’m orange. And Made up. All of the colors and textures in the palette go on intensely. I tried with lighter brush strokes, using my fingers for the highlighter and will come back to look in the mirror and woah intense bronzer look. I just want a kiss of color. If you like bronzers, highlighters and contouring this may be your perfect palette because they are nicely arranged. Cardboard palettes don’t bother me. It seems sturdily made, just not made for me.
Update: I’m going to try some of the colors as eyeshadows as another reviewer said. This may mean I don’t have to return it.

This is a holy grail. Normally, I am not a fan of pallets because I think it is better to buy individual products that work specifically for YOU. However, this palette somehow works with bronzer, contour, blush, highlight, and even under eye powder for me !!!! It’s insane! And side note, I have to give Ulta a huge shout out for that 21 days of beauty or else I would have never dropped the money on this!
I don’t know how they did it, but I can literally only bring this, foundation, and concealer on a trip (for my base makeup) and I’m good to go. When I’m not traveling I use my normal go to products in the morning, but have this in my purse to freshen up if need be. I could find this especially useful if I plan to hit up a happy hour after work!
Not only do the colors work, but the formula is great. There are no issues applying or with blending. I can’t vow for how this would work on medium to dark tones (possibly building up the pigment could work?), but on fair to light skin – out of the park home run.

This is a great palette to create a natural, every day look. I was so glad when I found it’s part of the permanent collection and it’s the one palette I reach for when I’m in a hurry.
I use the bronzer and blush the most while I’ll use the contour and highlight shades as eyeshadow. (I don’t contour or highlight in my day to day makeup routine)
The pigment is good although I’d say it’s more on the softer side. The packaging could be better as I’m not a fan of cardboard packaging, hence the four lipsticks. However, that’s minor as it’s very convenient for travel.
The shades are suitable for fair to medium skin tones and hopefully Smashbox will come out with a palette for darker skin tones.
The cost is reasonable compared to other palettes out there. A winner!

I wanted this palette for so long and finally purchased it during the Sephora Fall VIB sale. The packaging is a hard cardboard that I imagine will become quite worn over time but it is sturdy enough. The size of this palette is not too small or too large which I like. This palette features 4 matte powders – contour, bronzer, blush and something labelled “highlight” but looks more like a pale banana powder to me; and 2 shimmer powders which can be used to highlight or as a bronzer topper and blush topper based on the shade. All of the powders are buttery smooth and soft, pigmented and all of the shades work on my skin tone. Not only can these be used on the face, but as eyeshadows as well. All in all a solid palette. Definitely recommend.

Gather round my fellow olive skinned people. Whether you are a makeup lover or a makeup minimalist, come and meet the ultimate “Swiss Army Knife” of palettes. Seriously – this was made for us!
Every color in this palette is gorgeous, wearable, and high quality. The powders work as eyeshadow, blush, bronzer and highlight, making this amazing for both everyday and travel. I spent three weeks traveling with only this, concealer, bb cream, face powder, eyeliner, mascara, brow gel and three lipsticks. And it took me from day to casual evening to formal evening.
Let’s tour the colors, shall we?
Left column
1) Contour – My least favorite (would be ok if this went and the bronzer shade were 2x as large) but still very good. Perfect shade to create a natural shadow. Can also be used as a brow powder in a pinch (for brown hair)
2) Yellow powder – This is an amazing matte, slightly satin, highlight. I know it’s meant for undereye setting, but skip that and use this where you would use highlight. Gorgeous, natural glow!
Middle column
3 & 4) Two highlight shades. One veers champagne, one more bronze. Both make amazing eyeshadow.
Right column
5) Bronzer. It’s perfect. Seriously amazing. Stunning color. Warm without going orange. The perfect crease shade as well. Have already hit pan!
6) Blush. This is ideal. Blends into the skin. Has the slightest skin like sheen. And creates the most believable flush to the cheeks.
If my makeup stash burst into flames, this would be one of my first repurchases. It’s just that great and versatile.
You may be asking – well, if you love it so much – why the four? Listen, for me, as an olive skinned woman that runs between NC25 and NC35, this is a gem. A full on five!
But because it’s so good, need to ding it one lippie as Smashbox really needs to make versions of this for all skin tones.
