I love this palette! In fact had this come out before UD Naked Heat palette, I would’ve bought this one instead. The colors are warm, pretty and blendable. Great for daytime or some nighttime drama. Or even daytime drama 🙂 The only problem is the FALLOUT! There is a LOT especially Crackle which is a dark sparkly brown. It’s a pretty and dramatic color but gets everywhere. If you’re using the color, do your eyes first and then the rest or your face, less you get sparkle all of the place. Despite that, it hasn’t stopped me from using this palette. If you love warm browns, you know what to do.

So, I love the packaging and the color story of this palette. The mattes are fairly pigmented and soft. The palette smells incredible. It kind of has a light toasted-marshmallow scent.
The shade Fireside is patchy and I had issues blending out the harsh lines. In addition, Fireside did not wear well throughout the day. It literally disappeared after about 4 hours. The other colors were there but Fireside disappeared. I was really bummed about that because it gives the palette a little less versatility, in my opinion.
The lighter shimmers are underwhelming as far as pigment goes. However, I used them dry. You will probably be able to get a better color pay off by spraying fix plus or some kind of setting spray to your brush before dipping into the color.
This palette is a good buy if you love the color scheme, love Tarte’s matte formula and don’t mind pulling in another palette for the dark brown shade.

I really really wanted to love this. I had been so underwhelmed my Naked Heat that I hoped this would be what I had wanted Naked Heat to be. The package is pretty, and the shades are gorgeous. The problem is the actual product. Not a lot of variety in the way these looked on my lid, and not one of these shades stayed for more than an hour – I actually think it was a lot less. I use shadow primer and setting spray, but no luck with these. It was like using kids makeup in an adult package. It’s kind of put me off Tarte shadows now.

This is a nice palette overall, but there are a few cons. In general I don’t think the quality is quite as nice as the first two Tartelette palettes, but the selection of useable colors makes up for the duds. I really hate the shade Crackle and I wish it was not in the palette. Shadows that are matte in finish with large, flaky glitter rarely ever translate to the eye well. It ends up being a crappy, spotty brown that deposits a ton of gold glitter on your face. Candle is a pretty color, and it works well enough, but the texture is very chunky. The rest of the shades are quite nice, and the middle row especially is super pretty. You can do softer looks and bolder looks easily with this palette, and it could go from day to night with little effort. The outer packaging is super gorgeous as well, I just wish the texture on a couple of the shades was as amazing as the other two Tartelette palettes.

This palette is AMAZING! The colors are very warm, and pigmented and all of the colors blend so well together. I would 10/10 recommend this amazing product!

I like this palette a lot because the shades are right up my alley. I haven’t had any problems with the shades not blending well as others have experienced. Definitely a good palette to have if you don’t have these shades.

If you have the tartelette & tartelette in bloom palettes, you will know what to expect from this palette. Everything is the same: same sturdy palette that is slim & doesn’t take up a bunch of unnecessary room; same slightly creamy, forgiving formula that applies & blends with little to no effort; same all-day wear that can benefit from a little primer but isn’t absolutely necessary. Only difference is the assortment of 2017-trendy warm orange-terracotta-bronze colors that are very different than its older tartelette sisters.
Do you really need this? Yes, if you’re looking for something to warm up your boring collection of neutrals or to add warmth to your complexion, since Tarte didn’t get this out until the fall, long after any summer glow is faded. No, you don’t need it, if you like and wear cool tones, and feel the tartelette matte or in bloom palettes are your HG palettes.
Tarte toasted vs. UD heat – I had the UD naked heat palette for a few weeks at its launch and didn’t care for it, I felt the formula was difficult to work with and after several attempts using different primers and application techniques, it still shifted and faded into an orangey mess, and the “shimmer” particles ended up in my crease and fine lines. I felt the UD heat palette lacked in light shades, which I thought I could compensate for with the naked 3, but found the formula of it didn’t work for me either. Don’t get me wrong, the UD heat is absolutely gorgeous, every time I see it in person my heart does a little pitter-patter, but it just didn’t work for me. UD nakeds are too glittery for my 48 yr old crepey wrinkly eyes.
So my advice is to stick with what you know: if you know Tarte, get the toasted; if you know UD, get naked heat. If you haven’t tried either one, then get into a store where you can have both side by side and do some swatching.

I just received my Toasted palette yesterday and was super excited to try it out! The PACKAGING ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! Just GORGEOUS! The shadows themselves are extremely pigmented… that’s why I always buy Tarte eyeshadows!! They blend so nicely and they have great staying power. I love the colors in this palette, too! Oh and they give you a card with two looks to recreate. I actually followed the instructions and created the 1st look they suggested… can’t remember what the name was. I will definitely be recreating that look again!! I didn’t want to wash my makeup off at the end of the night cuz it all looked so great still… 12hrs.
Price wise, it’s a little high however, Tarte has such amazing quality it’s worth it. Their palettes last forever since you don’t need much on your brush because of the awesome pigmentation. I bought mine at ULTA with a 20% off coupon, so I was very happy about that!! I know this week and next week Sephora has 20% off. This week is for Rouge members and next week is for Insiders. This is the time to go get the palette!!!
I would definitely recommend this to someone and would purchase as a gift for someone that loves makeup.

The Tarte Tartelette Toasted Eye Shadow Palette has impressed me very much. I don’t have any of the other Tarte Eyeshadow Palettes so I wasn’t certain what to expect. The colors are buildable and blendable. The color Cracked had a little fallout of the glitter, which is my only real criticism of the palette. Overall, I’m a big fan of this palette and I’m not easily impressed. In my review I also compare this with the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette in case you were debating which one to purchase. I love warm tones palettes! Goes well with my hair color (cherry coke purple red) and my warm toned skin, easy go blend pigment for days, and I genuinely love the slight difference in color between the Tarte Toasted and Naked Heat palettes. I think Tarte did an amazing job with the warm toned color trend and will def repurchase when I run out (although the value is excellent also so that won’t be for quite a while ^_^)
