I have hormonal acne, and just started seeing a derm. My skin is now clear (with the exception of some hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone). I wanted to try a natural makeup as I want the look of even/clear skin without a ton of makeup. I also wanted to shorten up my routine. I decided to try the pur minerals kit because it was on sale at Ulta for $19.50 and is supposed to be good for your skin. I am SO IN LOVE. The coverage is buildable and amazing. It feels great on your skin. The primer smells delightful and the makeup lasts all day long. I was previously using Garnier bb cream and powder, and had to use several oil blotting sheets throughout the day to keep fresh. With the pur minerals, I could probably go the entire day without using one, or use one for the entire day. If you have problem skin, I would highly recommend this product. Your skin can breathe while wearing it, and it looks natural yet covers very well. You also don’t need much, so the value is great. It’s supposed to help your skin over time as well. Give it a try!

I bought this at Nordstrom Rack for a steal of $7.40 original cost is $17.97 for the 4 pieces. I chose the Blush Medium color since it looked like the lightest from the choices and honestly I thought worst case situation I lose $7.40.
My thoughts on the products:
Mineral Makeup (the lightest of the bunch) was a bit to heavy for my liking. Coverage was ok but I think the make up makes any imperfections (i.e. pimples, wrinkles) stand out.
Mineral Glow was very dark for my skin tone and I could not walk out of the house with it on. I guess I could try to use it to contour my face, but I have not tried it yet.
Marble Powder was very pink and just didn’t look natural. I prefer a matte finish products rather than glowing illuminating products. I also think they make imperfections stand out.
Chisel Brush is worth the $7.40. the end.

EDIT 4/1/13 In Florida for a few weeks to care for my Mom and LOVING THIS SET EVERY DAY!!! My skin looks fabulous.
If you are a mineral makeup user, do consider this for travel! This set includes three small compacts: 4-In-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup, Mineral Glow (bronzer), and Universal Marble Powder (neutral rosy-pink blush), and a travel flat-top brush. The brush is small – no comparison to my ELF Studio flat-top! – but certainly usable. While I’ve never been entirely happy with Pur Minerals’ foundation shades, I must say that Golden Medium works fine on my light-medium olive skin (though it looks much too dark in the pan). I really love the coverage and ease of application; so much so that it’s tempting to use this every morning rather than my messier loose mmu (which also takes more time)! Perhaps in the near future….when I’ve exhausted my Alima and Lucy Minerals foundation jars, lol. The bronzer and blush give a lovely, healthy appearance (you’ll need your own brushes for these) and I can achieve a cooler pink or warmer look depending upon how I use the two (great for travel – less products/blush to bring). I purchased this on Haute Look for $15.00 plus shipping, a marvelous deal for a very generous travel or try it kit.
