Picked this up because I got suckered into by the you the hype. I was disappointed. They swatch ok and feel smooth, but on the eyes I found it just made a muddy mess. They don’t blend well and not all the pigmented and don’t really last well. I couldn’t really see the difference in colors. I’m returning the 2 I bought. I’m no above, but these really just seen like cheap play make up to me, and aren’t really a good value for the price compared to other DS brands.

Bad product. Waste of money

I REALLY wanted to give this a 5 lippie rating because of how beautiful and creamy these shadows are, however, the staying powder is absolutely HORRID! I used too faced shadow insurance under these shadows, and my UD primer potion, still didn’t make my shadow last. Not only do the shadows disappear, but I found that after 2-3 hours of wear, the shimmery shades transfer all over my eye lids blending into my crease, even on my brow bone. How is that even possible when it applies like a dream. I even set my eyeshadow and face as I usually do, with my L’oreal infallible setting spray. Another odd thing I would like to mention, is the shadows turn a different color after a few hours of wear. The matte black turned into a muted purple gray, my shimmery red color turned gold. The formulation is very very strange to make the shadows turn colors. By the end of the day I barely had any shadow left at all. Just a giant ashy mess.
So I would say overall I was highly disappointed. I’d hate to use this on a client, only to have the shadow disappear after a couple of hours of wear. Save your money up for a good UD or TooFaced palette and you won’t have to worry about it.

Makeup Revolution is the new kid on the block in the UK beauty world. Sold exclusively in larger branches of Superdrug, they’re in the same league as Makeup Academy (MUA) and Sleek makeup. And with palettes rumoured to rival higher end brands starting from as little as £4.99, I just had to try one out for myself!
The Salvation Palettes come in a total of nine different combinations all with different names which relate to the colours in the palette. I chose Girls On Film as it had a nice mix of neutral shades in shimmer and matte all of which I thought I would get good use out of.
As with other Makeup Revolution eyeshadows I’ve tried, these are super pigmented giving great colour pay-off and lasting all day. The shimmer shades (12 in total) are easier to work with than the matte shades (6 in the palette) but all of them are true to the colour in the pan once applied to your lid. It’s also a brilliant idea of Makeup Revolution to include matte as well as shimmery shades, meaning you’re likely to be covered whatever look you decide to go for. And for £6.00 for 18 shades there’s no way you’ll hear me complaining!
Based on my experiences with this one, I’m now eager to try others in the Salvation range as I’m certain they would perform just as well. And for such a cheap price I wouldn’t feel so guilty if I don’t end up using them that often.
