Honestly, this is a “What’s not to like?” palette in my book.
I had never used any LORAC products before purchasing this little gem, but I felt like treating myself a few days ago in ULTA. It was a few minutes to close, and I sort of bought it on a whim after swatching the eye shadows and being impressed with their texture. Also, it seemed like a palette that I could take with me on the go (duh-it’s in the name!) and I really like that, as I am the queen of in transit makeup application.:-)
I’m a bit OCD and don’t like making quick decisions, but in this case, it worked out well. Great palette.
Packaging: Nice sturdy cardboard “booklet” type thing. The cheek colors are on one side, and the six eye shadows are on the other as well as a decent mirror. Also included are two small shadow brushes that would be helpful in an emergency. There’s no blush brush, but I’d rather use my own, so no big deal there. It’s all compact and easily fits in any normal purse. Magnets hold the whole thing closed.
Eye Shadows: Again, this is my first experience with LORAC products, and I’m very impressed! The colors in this palette are all wearable neutrals. There are two cream/ivory shades. One has a lovely subtle shimmer (not glittery) finish, while the other is matte. Very nice. Next, we have a very shimmery (but still not glittery) copper, a subtle shimmer medium tan, a dark taupe/cool brown with subtle, ultra fine micro micro glitter that is great for the crease, and color called “Black”, which I would describe as a matte dark charcoal but is certainly dark enough to shade or line anything I can think of.
The shadows are very creamy powdery, lightweight, blendable…ooh, I like them! I’ve only had the palette a few days, but to me they seem completely long-lasting. I applied all over my new Milani Eye Shadow Primer (a 5 star drugstore product) and all seems well. I have not experienced any fallout during application. To me, I don’t think you could do much better for a neutral eye shadow palette. I can blend the colors to get most any effect I want. I usually apply a bright pop of eye pencil/liner, and with that addition, I’m good to go. LORAC really nailed the balance between shimmer, satin, shine and matte finishes in this palette. So many palettes are all one or the other, or just plain over the top! Not this one. Perfecto!
Cheek colors: You get one called “Coral” which is a pretty, pretty subtle shimmer peachy coral. You get one called “Pink” which is fairly bright in the palette but flattering when applied cool undertone matte pink. And, you get one called “Bronze” which is a wearable, matte bronze (please see the pictures; I think bronze tones are hard to describe) that can also be used to contour for those with light or medium skin tones.
Again, the textures here are very creamy-powdery, blendable and just good! They are highly pigmented, so be judicious when applying and blend, as always. (I’ve seen complaints that they are “too pigmented”, but too me, they are great. Just blend and apply to your taste. That’s better than getting a product that has no color to it!) The colors would flatter most any skin tones, I think, and can be mixed together for different effects. Again, not too shimmery, not too matte: they are just right.
Summary: I spend my makeup dollars carefully, and at $38, I think this is a great value, given that LORAC is a higher-end makeup line. One day, I hope to ditch the giant compartmented carrying tote of makeup I haul around with me in the car. If ever I accomplish that goal (and I probably won’t, but if..) this palette will get much of the credit. Just add foundation, mascara, eye primer, concealer, a couple of colorful eye pencils/liners, and three lip products, and I think you could cover most any makeup need out there. To some, that may sound ridiculous, but if you’ve read this whole review, it probably doesn’t. Sigh.

Pros:
1. Good price for a palette considering you get a variety of Lorac products (2 blushes, 1 bronzer, 6 eye shadows, and 2 mini brushes)
2. Love the pigmentation. Lives up to the Lorac quality
3. Unique packaging
4. Includes a full-sized mirror
Cons:
1. The black rubbery finish of its packaging attracts the slightest of shimmer, fall off pigments from the powder products inside and even oils from your fingers. These all create unsightly blotches and stains on the otherwise perfectly black and sleek package.
Overall, I love the palette and I would definitely love to buy it again. It’s worth the splurge plus it’s very handy for traveling or simply stashing it in your makeup kit for quick touch ups throughout the day!

I purchased this palette because I travel to Florida to visit my family a couple times per year and wanted something smaller to take with me for makeup. I also am involved in outdoor theater, and this was a good size to take to and from dress rehearsals and shows (when I needed natural makeup, ofcourse!)
I purchased mine at Kohl’s. I cannot remember the price, but I feel like it might have been less expensive there.
This palette has two “layers” in the packaging that magnetize (words?) together. One has the eyeshadows and a mirror, and the other has the blushes/bronzer. The outside of the palette is very smooth and sleek, but this is a pretty chunky palette, if you will.
This gives you a nice choice of natural eye looks and two or three choices for cheeks/face. I’m glad that it includes a black, as this can be substituted for eyeliner or used for smokey eye looks. My one complaint is that the shadows do seem to be a bit on the powdery side, and can be difficult to blend with each other. Nonetheless, I have made this work for me.
The two cheek colors are perfect for me; one is a soft pink, and the other is a peach. The bronzer is a bit on the orange side for my skin tone, but again, I can make it work.
All in all, this palette isn’t a holy grail or anything, but it works for my travel needs.

I LOVE this palette. I bought this palette specifically for my trip to the Alps as I have always overpacked my makeup.
Honestly, this palette has some seriously nice eyeshadows, from a beautiful crease shade, to an amazing copper shimmer, and some darker shadows to pull off that smokey look. Also, the bronzer in this palette is my go-to, and I’ve been using it over my Benefit’s hoola despite the more orangey tone. Lovely as a crease shade for the eyes.
I seriously recommend this palette as you will definitely most of these shades, and even if you are not traveling this is so convenient for daily makeup.

Perfect for traveling or as a gift for someone that does and I love that it comes with brushes and a mirror. The packaging is a bit bulky, but it comes with six eyeshadows (2 that can double as highlighters or adding a glow), 2 blushes and a bronzer. I found the eyeshadows to be pigmented and silky going on. The blushes are flattering all though I already have flushed cheeks. The bronzer is very nice and doesn’t go on muddy looking. I bought mine from Ulta for about thirty dollars. Now to just pick up the pro palette 2….

This is a great little palette if you want to travel light or are going away and do not want to bring your entire bathroom vanity with you.
In the pan, the shades look gorgeous. However I found the eyeshadows to lack pigment and be patchy (even with a primer) and the blushes to be a little chalky — which surprises me, bc I tend to really like Lorac blushes and eyeshadows. The tiny little brushes that come with this are pretty underwhelming. I suppose you could sub a couple other travel-size brushes. To me the brushes in this are just..not good…not that this is a huge factor, but in reviewing this product, I wanted to share my thoughts on the brushes, too, since they are part of the palette.
It is nice that it has a mirror with it. This might be nice to take to the gym or the office for touch-ups, that sort of thing.
I would not by any means use this as an everyday product, but for being in a pinch and wanting a good bit of product in the minimum amount of space, this might be a good choice. There is no scent in any of the products that I can detect, and none of these products irritated my skin, so that is a bonus. Just not the greatest shadows or blushes out there. The bronzer..mehh..again, to me I think this is mainly a convenience thing, not something I would gravitate towards with any regularity.

This has got to be my new favorite palette for traveling! It has all the color you need for a variety of looks all in a compact case. Just add foundation, concealer, and lipstick and you’re good to go. Check out my youtube video for more details. You can’t go wrong with this palette!

PROS
– good variety
– pigmentation
– great for travel
CONS
– quality not as good as other Lorac palettes
COMMENTS: This palette isn’t as good at their others, but I do like it. There isn’t a shade I don’t like in here. I’ll get plenty of use out of this, but the buttery feel isn’t there like in the Pro palettes. However, I don’t have any major issues with this palette either. It’s a nice little buy and perfect for travel.
Will repurchase.

Love this. Shadows are great- some more pigmented than others as was written by other reviewers. Chai (beautiful smokey bronze) and Café (wonderful transition color) are my most used and loved shadows. But the star of this palette goes to the bronzer which I didn’t expect to love as much as I do. It is the perfect bronzer for me. I’ve found myself reaching for it over my Guerlain Terracota bronzer. The Coral blush is so beautiful and blends out great. Considering the quality and price of this palette, I think it is such a steal. Great for traveling too!

LIKE Lorac but not really into this palette just not colors I can use. Blush is okay
