Bought this last summer online with the other x2 Nude palettes in the series via The Balm. This palette is neutral leaning warm. Typical The Balm style packaging consists of sturdy cardboard casing with 1940’s pinup graphics with clever product names. Inside are 12 small shadow pans, an ample sized mirror and a mini dbl end brush which I have no use for. This palette is travel friendly. A 6:6 ratio of metallic to matte. Some matte shades have minute glitter particles as well. The eyeshadows names in this palette all start with the letter ‘F’ named after positive affirmative attributes-cute. Fearless and Flawless (matte formulas) seem to have poor pigmentation, although I do use them both as base shadows. I do tend to gravitate to the metallic shadows, my favs are the gold to coppery tones -Fabulous, Faithful, Firm, Fit and Flirty. These are buttery soft and apply nicely on the eyelid. Flirty (mauvey plum) doesn’t seem as pigmented as the others mentioned but is lovely as a sheer plum coat. I strongly recommend eye shadow primer with these palettes. Honourable mention Fierce- this is a deep dark green almost black matte colour with tiny particles of gold fleck,( which is barely detected once applied) goes on patchy but is easily corrected and blends beautifully with other shades adds such great depth to eye makeup looks. Overall I do enjoy this palette, great colours and formulations for the most part. For someone who never used set palettes before, I do fall victim in that I tend to use my go to colours and ignore the rest. This is why I prefer to have customized palettes…

I got this about year and a half ago from one of Hautelook’s events, and I can honestly say I use it a lot more than I thought. To do a pro/con break down (personally I find these types of reviews very helpful):
Pros:
-If I’m away for the weekend, I often bring this palette with me. I love that it’s versatile- excellent for every day wear, professional looks for work or job interviews, and dramatic looks.
-Pigmented, easy to blend, apply smoothly, no issue with patchiness, lasts at least 16 hours with primer.
-Shades are flattering for most eye colors/skin tones and generally very beautiful.
-While the palette is mostly shimmery colors, there are matte transition shades.
-Even though I got this on sale, the full price is $36, which is still cheaper than a lot of high end palettes on the market.
Cons:
-Fit and Faithful do look very similar, but they are both good quality and have no issues with application.
-I don’t really use the shade Fierce. Good black sparkly eyeshadows are very difficult to find. I would’ve preferred a matte black instead.
-Fall out, but that’s to be expected with this formula. It’s manageable but beware that it does happen.
I never used the brush so I can’t comment on it.
Favorite looks:
-Feisty (crease) + Flirty (lid) + Funny (outer V) + Fearless (brow highlight) + Fabulous (inner corner highlight)
-Flawless (crease) + Faithful (lid) + Firm (outer V) + Fearless (brow highlight) + Fabulous (inner corner highlight) (this is a very subtle look)
-Feisty (crease) + Funny (lid) + Friendly (outer V) + Fearless (brow highlight) + Fabulous (inner corner highlight)
Overall, I think this is a really great palette and it’s slightly more affordable than a brand like Urban Decay or ABH but just as good.

This was the first product I purchased from the balm and bought it without looking in to it. I was very disappointed with the quality of it. The only shades I used were the three golden/coppery shimmers(however I often had better ones anyway). I really tried to make this product work but i just couldn’t. The dark matte shades were patchy as hell and all bar the 3 shimmers mentioned had barely any pigment. I have so many better drugstore and high end eyeshadow pallets that I would rather use. Also another note the shimmers are very crumbly when you start to get frther in and there is quite a lot of excess powder that dirties up the pallet. It’s such a shame as the packageing is so pretty and the colours could have been beautiful together if they had any pigment.

It was very difficult for me to choose between nude dude and nude tude.however there was more hype around nude tude,my choice was nude dude because I thought it’s easier to create a complete look with this palette and it has enough light, medium and dark shades.I bought it for 34$ and I’m happy with this purchase and like it a lot
I like thebalm’s unique packaging but I prefer to see girls on my palette than dudes.it has a good mirror and a little double ended brush.I don’t like it as an eyeshadow brush but one of it’s ends is good to use with a brow pomade.unfortunately it’s mirror can easily get dirty by shadows as there’s no cover on mirror
When I first looked at my palette,I thought that I like every single color and I wouldn’t change a single thing in shades but now I don’t think so.
“Firm” and “Fit” have minor difference when swatching and no difference on my lids.same thing goes on for “Friendly” and “Fine” .I see that friendly is darker and matte, but fine has very subtle shimmer and when applying on eye,it’s very difficult to distinguish them.so they could replace almost dupes, then we had two totally different and various shades.for example there’s no light pink or plummy or taupe shade in this palette.it could be a very complete palette but if they did this less costumers would go for nude tude palette after buying this,so I can see it’s point
Now about each shade:
❤Fearless
It’s Matte Cream and is very useful for me.I use it as base because it’s close to my natural skin color.pigmentation is better than most cream shades in other palettes but not as good as other shades in nude dude palette and it’s a bit chalky
❤Fabulous
Shimmery light color with a very bright golden/champagne undertone.I don’t have anything similar to this shade in my other palettes and I use it for highlighting inner corner of my eyes
❤Flawless
Matte light brown.I have similar shades to this one in other palettes but it’s good to have it here too.it’s a useful one, also can be used as eyebrow shadow for people with blond eyebrows
❤Faithful
Shimmery golden shade which is highly pigmented
❤Firm
Shimmery rose gold(bronze-golden) with a touch of brown undertone
❤Fit
Shimmery rosegold(bronze-golden )with a touch of copper undertone.as mentioned before it’s close to faithful and almost the same as firm so however it’s a beautiful color,I’d replace it with another shade if I could
❤Flirty
Shimmery dusky rose-mauve.it’s like a combination of pink and brown.a very gorgeous shade which I use a lot
❤Felsty
Matte medium brown with pink undertone.it’s like flirty’s matte sister.A little less pigmented than other shades still it’s one of my most favorite ones as it’s a very useful transition shade
❤Friendly
Matte very dark brown.it can be used as a dark eyeliner also instead of black as it’s very dark.it can also make a good eyebrow shadow for people with black eyebrows
❤Funny
A very beautiful brown with a touch of burgundy undertone.not as dark as friendly or fine.it’s not matte but isn’t too much shimmery either and has a lovely satin like finish
❤Fierce
Black with subtle random silver microglitters.it’s not a very deep and pigmented black and it makes it easier to use and more bendable than other blacks and even more lovely for me.you can find simple matte black in a lot of palettes but such a nice glittery black isn’t very common.however I preferred it to have more glitters
❤Fine
Dark brown which is not matte, also not very shimmery.it’s satin like.it’s a lot similar to friendly on lid.I firmly believe that each palette needs a very dark matte shade but if I had to choose between friendly and fine,I’d probably keep fine probably because friendly is a little patchy and not so easy to blend
❤❤❤
Though there are some useful shades absent in this palette and two pairs of shades are very close and I prefer my palette to have more mattes,I consider nude dude as a very good nude palette.I can take it to travel with myself as my only palette.pans are tiny but these eye shadows are highly pigmented and don’t have much kick up so they last and work for you for an acceptable time.there’s no fall out and they’re very smooth, buttery and easy to blend.they also have very good longevity and I usually don’t use an eyeshadow primer.
I think I’m going to use every single shade,of course some less than others.
though I’m happy and satisfied with my nude dude palette,I still want to buy nude rude too

I feel like its very important to mention that the pans in this are ridiculously tiny for the price of the palette. Overall i quite enjoy this palette for its great selection of neutral metallic and duochrome (the ones in this palette are amazingly beautiful) shades. However the matte shades fades fairly quickly and doesnt hold its intensity throughout the day. But i find that very typical of thebalm’s matte eyeshadows. The double ended brush that came with this palette is just as ridiculous as the size of this palette’s pans. The packaging, as with the most of thebalm’s products, is very very cute though.

Excellent color payoff and staying power. Doesn’t crease.

This palette is excellent I’m very happy with it! The shadows are so buttery and pigmented. I cannot get over how creamy some of the shadows are. Flirty is my favorite shade in the palette it’s such a pretty pink with gold in it. It really makes my green eyes stand out. About me NW20 or below, blonde hair, and very cool undertones. This palette works well with my skintone. Also the texture of these shadows is so good. They are so buttery they almost come off creamy. They swatch beautifully and it translates to the eyes just as well. These are a breeze to blend out.
Other shades I like are Fearless which is the perfect base as its my exact lid colour. Fabulous has a beautiful yellow iridescent sheen to it. The mattes are excellent as well Fiesty is a great crease shade it’s a cool or neutral light brown to me. All of these shadows are really well done Imo It’s the perfect mix of textures from mattes to shimmer to metallic. I just love it! Whether you get this on sale or pay full price it’s totally worth it. This is one palette I’m glad to have in my eyeshadow arsenal that’s for sure. Recommended!

This is my first eyeshadow palette. And I looove it so much! I’m in love not just because the cute packaging (yes, I’m packaging whore), but definitely because its quality. The texture is sooo buttery and the pigmentation is too good to be true. Enough said.

A wonderful palette! I have Naked 2 and 3, and I almost never use them since I got this. The colors are great, they are soft, buildable, blendable, and beautiful colors. I got a single with the same cute packaging on a smaller scale, in an Ipsy bag. I fell in love instantly and HAD to get the full monty.
You can’t go wrong with this, and with Christmas coming, this would make an excellent gift. The colors are pretty, but don’t blare at you like some of the aggressively glittery or extremely dark Naked colors do in those palettes. Both the makeup addict, and someone who casually wears makeup would both love it.
I plan to save my pennies and get another of The Balm’s palettes. I have been out of work two years, and my husband is struggling to pay for literally everything, so it is something I want to save up for, that’s how much I love this one.

I love this palette! Here’s why:
1. The shadows are very soft and apply smoothly. They blend out beautifully.
2. The color selections are very pretty, a lot of browns, golds, even a matte burgundy shade. I love nothing more in life than a good matte burgundy eyeshadow.
3. The packaging is adorable.
4. These are very affordable. I wear a lot of high end makeup and these are relatively cheap compared to most brands. You can always get these at overstock or occasionally at hautelook.com and they are at least 1/2 price.
5. The shimmery shades are stunning. These are far superior to the naked palettes. I have all the naked palettes and I never use them. I use theBalm nude palettes all the time.
