The quality of the palette is excellent- the shadows are creamy and pigmented. I went into ordering the collection with no expectations and have used the palette every day since I received it

This palette is the smaller of the highly sought collab of Jeffree Star and Shane Dawson. There’s a companion big 18 shade palette that sold out and this one, which sold well but was more accessible. And the colors looked fun so what the hey, let’s try it. Also I was not into the neon yellow, Cheeto Orange and other shades that put me off in the big palette.
The nine colors include (across left to right) Flat Earth (matte pale blue) Cry on my Couch (cream matte yellow) My Boyfriend’s Purse (silvery with taupe tinge shimmer) Next row Controversy (matte fuchsia purple) Diet Root Beer (matte orangey brown) My Apology (shimmery reddish purple) Bottom Row: “Exposed” (matte lavender orchid) “Cancelled” (matte turquoise blue “The Simulation” (shimmery sapphire blue.)
So there are pinks-purples and blues from light to medium dark, and three neutrals, cream yellow, silver and orange-brown. The pigmentation is high. The colors that are matte dust up a lot and the colors blend well–you can get more purples if you mix the purple-pink with the blue. With primer, they stay on well but only last about six hours maximum. The blues will stain your lids.
I find this palette surprisingly useful, the pinks make a nice soft day eye, the blues mixed are for fun and the neutrals can be used though there is no dark black or espresso so a totally neutral eye involves the “My Apology” which is a warmed purple. The silver color is nice applied with a finger.
I actually really enjoy this palette and have been (as the colloquial expression is these days) “obsessed” that is, I use it daily.
The palette is being re-issued as it sold out and strangely, the yellowish cream shadow “Cry on my couch” is being replaced with an emerald blue green called “Put it Back” I’m on the fence if I like the alteration. I would have exchanged it for a charcoal-y navy blue.
The palette is better than I expected.
