I’m not sure,lol- in just a year I have collected over 250 palettes and I have all the narsicst’s wanted’s- skin deep ignited wild thing (list goes on) I bought this with the $10 coupon from Ulta so I basically paid $39 for it you can’t pass that up – I’m not a fan of the hardwired shadows all my bhcosmetics ones have more pop and shine then this formula – it is extremely sheer almost like a diamond fairy dust if you well you definitely want to use some type of primer adhesive because you will get some fallout if you just use your finger and nothing shows up using a brush- I thought the mattes were very comparable to some of their other pallets that I have so I had no issues with them- the bottom brown is beautiful – the blushes are beautiful – overall I didn’t feel the bronzer and blushes were super pigmented on my face (tho they swatch good) apparently it’s supposed to be the same formulation as all of their other stuff but I’m not sure about that because this one is made exclusively for Ulta so who knows but at the end of the day I suppose if I didn’t have everything that I have I think this would be a good option because I have so much I always compare it to what I have and if it’s not any better or just as good as what I have that’s a good indicator as well as “will I reach for it” I do not like the Laguna bronzer as popular as it is because I don’t like a golden bronze I prefer more of a peachy undertone or a reddish undertone (think Estée Lauder bronze goddess (reddish undertone) and urban decay sun kissed & bronzed that have nice peachy undertone) but I always bronze my crease – (I have over 30 bronzers) and I don’t like the Laguna one at all I don’t like golden bronzers not my fav tho I have some so I don’t see myself reaching for that one AT ALL and I already have the orgasm as a separate blush – I do think it’s a good value especially because I paid $39 for it and I’m trying to talk myself into keeping it because it is such a good deal and I’m sure everybody would love to have it but it just doesn’t make my heart sing and at this stage of the game because I have so so so much im only wanting to add really special things that move me and I love love love! On the plus side for somebody that does not have the volume of make up that I have or someone that maybe travels a lot this would be a really good addition. I did buy the new Mac face and eye palette tho LOL so I hope I like that one better then this lol

If I had to pick an overall favorite makeup brand, it would 100% be Nars. Of course there are hits & misses, but the general quality, aesthetic, ideas behind the shades, and everything else really work for me. I picked this palette up as a treat for myself (it seems I get myself a lot of “treats” lol) to make traveling easier: I already know I love the Laguna bronzer & Dolce Vita blush (I use both almost every day), and the other shades looked amazing and fun to try. Nicely curated yet wearable with a couple of fun shades to check out that I normally wouldn’t have bought on their own.
I want to immediately mention that, unlike a lot of higher end palettes that include shades also available in their main collection, the quality of the products in this palette HAVE NOT SUFFERED. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve compared a (usually UD) palette eyeshadow to a single I already owned and finding it super not up to general par. NOT SO with this palette.
Here are the included products. I’m not going to review each in-depth (a few I’ve written separate reviews for in the past), but I’ll add some notes. The formulas are stellar across the board, especially the blushes. Also, I’m working with an olive complexion and dark eyes/hair.
(First of all, this is 3 Nars blushes, 1 bronzer, and 8 eyeshadows, in generous quantities, for $49. It is 100000000% worth that price.)
Luster (sheer golden apricot blush) — first time trying this, a little pale for my skintone, but it’s a stunning shade, just so well done, and I will probably use this one much more in the winter months (it also stays apricot, not orange)
Orgasm (peachy pink w/ golden shimmer blush) — super gorgeous, you might have heard of it? Shimmer bomb for sure, but it looks amazing with the right looks
Dolce Vita (matte dusty rose blush) — incredibly pigmented so use a light hand, slightly on the warmer side, I’ve been using this every day before even getting this palette
Laguna (diffused brown powder w/ golden shimmer bronzing powder) — my actual favorite bronzer of all time
Hammamet I (matte beige eyeshadow) — slightly too light for all over the lid for me but it’s not chalky at all, a perfect browbone shade
Nepal (shimmering soft rose eyeshadow) — shimmery lovely beige-y rose, again a little too light for me, but would look incredible all over the lid on paler skintones and as an accent shade on all skintones!
Pattaya (iridescent copper eyeshadow) — basically copper glitter, use with caution lol, lock it down with the right base and it’s amazing
Fuse (sparkling purple w/ blue eyeshadow) — same as above, but the funnest shade, oh man
Fez (shimmering cocoa eyeshadow) — this makes me wanna cry it’s so beautiful, the perfect all-over-the-lid soft bronze, not too warm, I am going to run out of this one first and will definitely repurchase on its own
Tropical Express I (shimmering eggplant purple eyeshadow) — this seems matte but it has a deep shimmer, deep purple on the warmer side, I haven’t played too much with it, more so because it’s very dark vs. too bold, but it is totally wearable
Sophia (matte rich cool brown eyeshadow) — workhorse medium matte saddle brown with the perfect amount of coolness, especially for a crease shade
Mekong (espresso w/ golden shimmer eyeshadow) — matte dark espresso base with gold sparkles, the shimmer can fly away from the base during application, but if you’re careful this makes an amazing outer corner accent
The palette itself is huge, but it has so many products! It also doesn’t have the matte black rubber packaging, it’s a sturdy black plastic. It’s seriously gorgeous all around. A lot of times I have bought “travel” palettes that I had to heavily supplement. This will definitely cover all my blush/bronzer/eyeshadow and highlight (I’ll use an eyeshadow or Orgasm) needs. I do not feel guilty about this purchase AT ALL.
