I hate to be the dissenting voice, but this didn’t work out for me.
So breaking it down, the packaging is ok. The plastic sheet is obnoxious and scratched up a shadow so if I’d kept the palette I would have ripped it out. It’s nice you can easily rearrange the shadows though. And I like how efficiently space was used. I hate bully packaging.
The formula is a dry matte. I only have the Dark Mattes to compare, but these felt a little drier to me than Dark Mattes. They apply well and blend nicely. But they are sheer and you have to build them up a lot. These are not opaque in one swipe types of shadows, and that’s personal preference if you like that or not. The bright shades were easy to work with. But all the shades fade on me, especially the light shades. They crease and loose their brightness. And I use primer. I would give this palette a 3.5 for performance if I could. Not terrible but not great. A solid B.
My favorite colors were mostly in column 3,4, and 5.
My other issue is a personal one, so not necessarily contributing to my rating but more about if this palette is a good fit for someone. It’s very same same. The 4th and 6th columns look the same on my skin tone because I’m so fair. And a lot of column 1 and 2 also look the same. There are three light pinks that are basically the same. Row 1 and row 2 are also very similar to each other. I think row 1 is meant to be warm and 2 golden, but they are too close. And I get what they did with each row, but there are just too many similar shades. I would have made row 2 much more taupe or cool browns. Two of the dark greys are the same so switch up a grey and two pinks and one of the dark browns. Maybe throw in a teal and forest green to round out the pops of color. If I designed it I would have a warm row, cool brown row, the greys, the burgundy, the plum. But I’d have the greens at the end of the grey row. And I’d make the mustard shade brighter. I know this palette is meant for makeup artists, but I makeup artists can mix and match shades to creste the shade they want. And so many are too close. I just don’t get it’s useful when you could just mix shades together to get all the nuanced differences.
There are a few great shades and I do like a drier eyeshadow formula. And I love the long shelf life because they aren’t filled with all the creamy stuff. But I’m the end, the fading and all the repeat shades made my unenthused to use this palette. And the few shades I loved were not unique enough to make me keep a palette this expensive. I’m probably the only person on the internet to feel this way, but it’s a pass for me.

Pros:
-Great blend-ability
-intense pigment
-doesn’t look powdery
-organized by undertones going from warm to cool top row to bottom.
-Is a great staple If you do bridal make or other kinds of natural to natural dramatic eye looks.
-have amazing wear time.
Cons
_If you have alot of neutrals palettes alot of them can be duped
– cool toned black is black but if you have MUG corrupt or Saucebox Blackwidow shadows its not as black as those two.
-the red berry shade in the 3rd row stains a bit (coconut oil removes it)
– you may find yourself only using only certain colors cause the undertone nuances might only be noticeable on different people. (ex. the darkest shades on the top two rows look alike on me but on my mom who is darker and has more pink undertones they look completely different.
Overall thoughts:
I really enjoy this palette and would recommend if makeup is your hobby and you either enjoy applying makeup on others for fun or, if you are a working makeup artist. I usually use all shades for myself since this is a multipurpose pigment palette and they can be used on eyebrows and for face contour which is always great. I like the baby pink and blue from this palette because i have no colors like those and they apply so smooth and dont look powdery. plus packaging is so slim and travel friendly I can take this during my travels and have options for days. although I did get the core packaging its still pretty good sturdy and wellmade.

This palette is great quality. The shadows are blendable and varied enough to all belong in one palette. You can combine shadows to make new colors. Lasting ability is all day. I used with the Nars base. I treated myself to this as a Christmas present. Totally worth the price. Great value when you price out the individual shadows.
