3 words: MADE IN CHINA – that should scare you straight enough not to purchase!
I bought this thinking it looks cute and would save me precious suitcase space for my trip. Opened it, smelled a strong chemical smell, and of course, to my shock, it was made in China (as in ALL Too Faced palettes). Given the country’s poor safety records (the latest being tainted baby formula!!!), I wouldn’t dare to put anything coming there on my face, eyes or lips!!
I am disgusted that any cosmetics companies would manufacture makeup in China. Brushes and stuff are ok, but makeup?!! Very disappointed and will not buy any Too Faced products again.
(My palette went straight to garbage – didn’t even bother returning it for refund)

I really like this product. It is cute and compact, but you really get a lot for your money. All the eyeshadows together are nearly 4g, which is more than 2 MAC e/s, so for 18.50 (US) you are getting a great deal just on the e/s alone.
I like how the glosses are in their own seperate compartment up top, so I don’t have to worry about getting e/s dust in them. All of the colors in the palette are very wearable for almost any skintone (the e/s might not work on someone very warm).
This is great for tossing in my purse or for traveling, but I like the e/s colors enough that I pull it out and use it at home too. The e/s are a tad sparkly but it’s not really noticeable when you put it on. They last all day with a MAC paint underneath.
I would definitely buy this again if mine got lost, stolen, smashed, etc.

oh, makeup. i spent 2 hours walking around ulta thinking of ways to spend a $50 gift card. anyway, towards the end of my adventure where i flip flopped between tons of other items; i found this palette. i kind of wanted eyeshadow and i kind of wanted lip gloss. i needed neither. but this! this palette got me. yes, it is really tiny for $18.50 and yes, you only get a little bit of gloss but i figured it was a good choice. i don’t really glob the gloss on anyway. the colors are nice! they are pigmented enough to not just look like tinted vaseline, you know? they’re good for layering lightly over stain or lipstick. the eyeshadow colors are really pretty. nothing crazy. pretty pinks and neutrals. the quality is good.
so, basically, i chose this because i was toying around with buying gloss which would have been around $20 or an eyeshadow around $18. i already have a bunch of glosses and shadows i haven’t finished. i KNOW i will use all of this product which i really like. and i love love love the portability.
