   One of the best performing palettes out there.
   The matters are crazy buttery and smooth, all the shades are long lasting and very versatile. I love the color layout as a makeup artist because this isn’t for the everyday girl. Easy to blend and smooth, don’t look patchy or dry, I also don’t need to work on them too much when it comes to blending. The pigment doesn’t really go anywhere either.
   Love this! Highly recommend to MUAs

   Beautiful colors and unique layout; there isn’t anything like this on the market, but the shadows were disappointing for the price. I found the blues to be dry and they just blended away and I had to layer, but got fallout. The shimmers were dry and underwhelming even when I tried applying them with my fingers. These swatch beautifully, but just don’t look the same on the eyes.

   I will spare you, dear reader, and simply echo the majority of comments below. These are by far the most pigmented and buttery shadows I own. As a bonafide palette hoarder, I can honestly say that these are equal or superior to my other “best” HE eyeshadows: Viseart, Dior, Chanel. They are even silkier than the best of Urban Decay, more thoroughly opaque than the brightest of Kat Von D. Only Viseart and Dior come close across all measures of quality, IMHO. As others mentioned, the palettes are an investment but by weight you get a lot for your dollars. A single MAC shadow is more expensive than one of these shades but quality wise there is no comparison. You get very few mattes to work with, true. The satin, shimmer, duochromes, and glittery shades all perform mightily. The metallics shine like mirrors. So lovely!

   They blend like a dream. They last and last. Only thing missing are some basic neutrals. Easily remedied. If you love makeup and eyeshadow like me, go for it. This is the cream of the crop. I have yet to see a used or swatched ND big palette for resale in any makeup group. Nobody lets these go. They are amazing. A+

   I can’t believe I dropped (if I include tax) $250 on an eyeshadow palette. But I did because it seems like everyone is raving about Natasha Deanna’s shadows ever since they appeared in Lucky Bags.

   The purple-blue palette is full of lovely purple and blue shades, as well as some greys, browns, burgundies, and one duochrome green-red brown not unlike UD’s Lounge.

   These are THE most pigmented shadows I’ve ever used! I barely have to touch my brush to the shadow to get color transferred to it. In fact, they are so pigmented that I have to use both a light hand and a dual fiber-optic brush to get the right amount on there. They go on silky smooth and blend lovely. The colors are true: what you see on the pan is what you’ll see on your eyelid. The shadows are also very long-lasting, with or without primer. And while the initial price tag of the palette may scare you, if you consider that you are getting 28 shadows, it works out to $8.50 a shadow. Considering I’ve dropped $10-20 on single shadows, $8.50 is a good deal.

   That’s not to say that the palette is without flaws, because they are there. A majority of the shadow shades are shimmer, frost or sparkle, with very few matte shades; it seems as though Natasha Denona prefers a glowy look to her work. Glowy may not always be what you are looking for though, so you will need to augment with other eyeshadows to make more natural or work-appropriate looks. It is too easy to put too much shadow on due to the rich pigmentation. Fallout is more than average. The palette is large, making it inconvenient to tote around.

   These flaws are enough for me to knock a lippie off the rating. But I was impressed enough to try more of her products.

   If you watch YouTube beauty guru videos like I do then chances are you have heard of the Natasha Denona palettes. They’ve been all over the makeup obsessed section of the internet. When I saw this palette online, I was mesmerized because I love eye shadow. It’s my favorite makeup item. I want to address some of the cons/concerns people have been expressing about this palette in order to help you decide for yourself if this would be a good purchase.

   -Price: the 28 palette is $239…$258 with tax. I know it’s a big purchase and if you can’t afford or think it’s a waste of money to spend that on eye shadow then chances are you wouldn’t be reading this review anyway. Each eye shadow is 2.5 grams, double the size of a MAC eye shadow. You do get a lot of product and there are 28 colors. I don’t mind the price.

   -Finish: There are 2 matte shades in the entire palette. Most of the shadows are either satin or metallic. I have a ton of matte shadows. I don’t need any more mattes. I bought this palette because I wanted the metallic, high shine shades. If you are looking for a all in one palette then this isn’t for you.

   -Colors: You’re not able to pick your own colors and customize the palette. Again I don’t mind. I bought a MAC customized palette and I filled up a Z palette with makeup geek shadows that I bought and I picked out browns, burgundy, and cream shades. I didn’t get out of my comfort zone. The purple/blue Natasha Denona set has so many beautiful colors that I would not have picked out but work well on me.

   Overall I am happy with this purchase. I love the colors. There are some truly unique shadows in the set. The duochromes are absolutely fantastic. I’m not that thrilled that the shadows crease on me and I had to play around with primers until I found one that worked. If you have the money and you are a makeup junkie who is obsessed with eyeshadow then I say buy it. Otherwise, it might be disappointing the mass public just because there are so few matte shades.

   This is a major splurge. Let’s just get that out of the way. At a $239 price tag, this is not a whim purchase. Look at some videos, read some reviews, be sure you want this before ordering. That being said, thus far, I am glad that I did.

   The first day that I used this palette, I used Chromatic (the uber bright, metallic silver. It was really chunky with fallout, but yes, it delivers that very bright silver. It is definitely one of the brightest silvers I have seen. I also used navy, petroleum blue, and gray brown that first day. Color payoff was great. I did not use primer that day (and I have super oily lids, so I have to wear it with everything). Sixteen hours after I put it on, my eyeshadow was creased, but I still could actually see that it was a blue/silver eye.

   On the second day, I used Nina’s Orchid, Aubergine, Maroon, and Piggy. Nina’s Orchid is one of the few mattes in the palette. That day I actually asked my 11-year-old to pick out a color for me to build an eye look around, and this vibrant pinky-purple is what she picked. I began putting it on the inner part of my lid, and it was packed with color payoff. It was so opaque and matte that I decided that I really wanted to blend a lighter color onto the inner half of my lid. I picked Piggy, and it ended up working out fine, but I did notice it was hard to blend Piggy (which is one of the Metallic finishes) on top of the matte Nina’s Orchid. Again, fallout was definitely an issue, and I ended up retouching my foundation a little due to Nina’s Orchid fallout. Color payoff, again, was pretty awesome. This time I used Urban Decay primer. Twelve hours after I put it on, my eyeshadow was only a little faded and a little creased. For me, that’s solid performance.

   I sorta wish that I could have picked out my own colors in this palette, but the good thing is that sometimes I end up appreciating the colors that I would not have picked for myself. I decided to go ahead and order the green brown palette as well. I really like the color payoff, and blending was good other than the challenge of blending the matte and metallic finishes. It can be done, but I had to layer and work at it a bit.

   I have heard some people complaining about the packaging, but I actually like it. It has a mirror and the outside looks like white patent leather (though it’s not). Also, there’s a clear sheet inside that has all the names of the colors on it. I think that is new to the packaging design, because I did see a YT video where someone complained about the lack of names on the eyeshadows. I like the clear plastic with the names. It protects the shadows and doesn’t seem to get in the way.

   Well, that’s my first impression. Don’t starve yourself to make the purchase, but if you have a bit of extra spending money, it’s a fun palette to play with.

   Update: I have had the palette now for a few months. I still adore it. The metallics are to die for. The mattes aren’t the best I’ve tried, but there really aren’t many in these. The packaging has held up like it is new. Can’t remember who I saw ranting about the packaging, but I still think this looks great. I really love it. It’s your money; spend it how you want. I am super happy that I bought this luxe palette.
