The previous reveiw went thru all the colours in good detail, so I won’t bother doing the same. Suffice to say this is the best $60 I’ve spent on makeup in a long time, and hands-down the single best contour & highlight combo maybe EVER. The contour colour is very close to the now (sadly) discontinued MAC Strada (i still have some saved!) except Strada is just a whisper pinker. Compared with Harmony, Harmony is more gold/peach — this contour colour is totally neutral and even though I am just a newbie with contouring palettes after I tried this (along with the highlight shade) I couldn’t stop stealing glances at myself all night — the colour is just exactly like a true shadow would be and looks totally natural. The highlighter is very sheer and not shimmery — it gives a perfect glowy look, which is tricky for me with other highlighters as I tend to be oily and don’t want to look shiny all over. I use it on my upper cheekbones and around eye area as well as top of nose. The blushes are just a gorgeous bonus — I wasn’t sure I’d like or need them all that much but they are really quite lovely too. The only other comparable contour colour is Kevin Aucoin, but his is a little darker, so this one is perfect for me as I am a fair NC20. The packaging is also gorgeous and great quality, and it’s nice to know its refillable.
Seriously do yourself a favour and go online and get this before you waste money on any more disappointing contour palettes. If I can make my round 40’s yr old face look chiseled and perfect with this then ANYONE can.

When I saw this palette on MAC’s site for 60$ I thought this was a total steal. It’s a palette that comes with 6 of Mac’s best shades to contour, highlight, and blush. I even feel one of the shades could work as a bronzer on me. It comes with:
Emphasize- a white highlight with a very fine sheen it’s very pretty and gives me a soft focus glow. Great on the Cupid’s bow, on my nose and over blusher. I don’t know about using this under my eyes has too much dimension for my taste. I don’t think it would work well there. For me I feel it would draw unwanted attention to things. So I just stick with my cheeks, nose etc,.
Peaches- beautiful true peach blusher. Goes on super smooth and lasts for a light blush that’s important because I don’t like to retouch all the time.
Trace Gold- I actually love this as a highlight. Used sparingly it gives the prettiest glow that just warms up my very cool skintone. I think this shade could be used on many skin tones.
Sculpt- perfect contour powder for pale skin like mine. I’m below a NW20 and this gives me the perfect shadow. It makes contouring fun because it goes on light which I prefer than I can build it up. It blends so well and is like butter in the pan. NYX taupe is very similar.
Fleur Power- such a pretty colour! To me it’s a cool tone pink on my skin. Has a little peach or coral in it. Very pretty and works great with the other shades in this palette. Goes on super smooth and doesn’t kick up powder at all. Very soft and smooth to apply.
Sunbasque- such a pretty shade of bronze-y gold. I like this on my forehead and I use this very lightly. In the Spring/ Summer this will be a go to as it just makes me look like I have colour on my face. I don’t tan so this is a great shade to have.
So, for me this was a good buy because I didn’t have these shades. Also I feel this is geared towards fairer skin tones and I hope they come out with one for medium and deeper skin tones. So I hope Mac does that for ladies who cannot use this palette. About my colouring I am very pale and all the shades work really well. They last and it’s like buying 3 pans and getting the palette and the other 3 shades for free. When I saw this I couldn’t believe they would do this because if you don’t own these shades or want backups it’s perfect.
All in all I’m glad I only bought the NYX contour palette because this one is perfect for all my needs. I didn’t think Mac would jump on the bandwagon either so this was a pleasant surprise. I also like how you get the free palette so you can add or switch shades. They all come packaged separate and you put it together. So happy with this because it really works for my skintone and its all the products I need in one. So, for travel this is excellent. Very happy with this purchase. Recommended!
