This is nice, but if you are already accustomed to good quality eyeshadows, I can’t imagine that you’ll be particularly blown away. On the other hand, it’s $5, and at that price, it’s a great bargain for those new to makeup.
The shadows don’t last as long as mid-range to high-end eyeshadows, even with excellent primers, and the pigmentation is pretty average. The texture of these, especially the light purple mauve, tend to be quite dusty. It’s quite disappointing to me as I remembered the quality of Wet n Wild to be much higher – I used to own Walking on Eggshells (old version) and Comfort Zone (also old version) and had no issues whatsoever with the pigmentation/blendability.
Highlights – I really like the golden shimmer shade and the cool taupe transition shade, even though they are somewhat dusty. Great dupe for Modern Rennaissance (ABH palette). Very cheap and has a wide variety of cool and warm tones. Ideal for beginners.
Cons – Not exactly good quality shadows, dusty texture. If you have a big collection already, no need to buy this.

I love it! It has super pigmented colors that are easy to blend! When I used it with my e.l.f. white eye primer, I had little to no creasing, which is a problem I–with my oily lids–constantly struggle with. There are a lot of color combinations, both dramatic and subtle. Believe the dupe hype! You can make many of the ABH Renaissance looks with this palette. This is the most pigmented eyeshadow in my arsenal and definitely better than my Maybelline palette. Its small size makes it great for traveling, but I also use it all the time! I definitely recommend this palette and I plan to look into buying the other colors!

Because i did not want to buy such a sophisticated and pricey palette like the ABH renaissance palette, i bought the wet n wild instead. I do not regret it. The formula is great and the colors also.

I loved the colours in this palette but this palette didn’t love me! Something in it is making my eyelids unbearably itchy and swollen. I actually didn’t realize and assumed it was allergies since I had eczema on my neck caused by that. Disappointed is an understatement!

This is a mostly matte palette which is perfect for me. It’s an obvious dupe for the ABH Modern Renaissance palette. It does a good job duping most of the shades. I don’t feel the need to own both palettes. They’re that similar. The ABH is superior in quality but not by much, imo. This palette looses points for the low quality shimmers. They are not the creamy, foiled formula, I like. The mattes, however, are great. I quite like them. This little gem is worth owning if you don’t own Modern Renaissance.
Pros:
Pigmented matte shades
Creamy, blendable matte shades
Affordable
Small and compact for travel
Cons:
Poorly pigmented shimmer shades (only 2 of them)
Not the sturdiest packaging
Overall, wetnwild did a great job. There’s room for improvement but you can’t beat the price and quality.

I bought this palette because the colors drew me. I have some browns and golds, but nothing quite like that wine-purple-magenta color, and I don’t have any oranges. Because these oranges are a bit darker and not so neon, like I’ve had in the past, I thought with the neutrals and these standouts, it would be worth a try. Plus, I got it on sale for something like $3.70, so it was a harmless splurge and a chance to experiment with the colors.
And the palette is … good. Best ever? No. But I like the pale gold and the shimmery browns. The oranges are interesting to tinker with. They won’t convert me to an orange eyeshadow girl, but they’ll be fun for fall looks. They apply much better than the magenta, too, especially with a dampened brush. I will say I’m a bit disappointed that the dusky pink shade is underwhelming in terms of performance and pigmentation, because that kind of color is one I’d gravitate toward in terms of quick looks.
Staying power is better for the shimmery shadows, but the mattes are, well, kind of flat in terms of performance.
But for less than $4 I get to experiment with a few colors I normally wouldn’t try, and I’ll get good use out of the gold and a couple of the browns. And by the time I finish this, something else will have come along or maybe there will be a reformulation of this.

My review is based on product quality, not price. I love saving money on a good quality cheap product as much as anyone, but I dislike cheap products being marked up highly in reviews due solely to the low price, because that results in deceiving scores that make it look like it’s better quality than far superior products that cost slightly more, which results in customers wasting money on poorly performing “dupes”.
This is an okay product. Yes it’s a good price, but the quality itself is quite meh, especially in comparison to the higher quality of other WnW shadows.
There’s a lot of kick up if you use a synthetic brush (Zoeva) to apply. Some colours, like the Buon Fresco dupe, apply patchily and need a lot of building up if you use those kinds of bristles. There’s some fall out with a synthetic brush, but not an excessive amount. I haven’t had mine for very long but there’s already massive dips in the colours I use. I mostly use mine with a natural hair brush (Hakuhodo) which results in far less kick back, no fall out, and applies colour very smoothly.
In terms of pigmentation, they’re okay. Not overly pigmented, and they still need quite a bit of building up.
I find lasting power very average, even with a good quality primer like Urban Decay or Milani. Every look I make with this fades significantly by about hour five. That includes when I set my primer with the matte yellow/beige. I’m a strongly yellow toned NC15 and even the yellow/beige isn’t a good match for my skin tone, it’s too light and yellow. It also applies very patchy and chalky, even with my Hakuhodo brushes.
The two biggest disappointments in the palette are the Buon Fresco dupe (the pinky mauve) and the gold shimmer. The gold shimmer is light coverage and wears away quicker than the rest of the colours. The shimmer finish fades even faster.
Overall, I find that every single look I make with this blends beautifully and looks fantastic for the first 30 mins, but then it muddies up and looks very bland and monochromatic, even when I’m being careful to only blend the edges where the colours meet and not the entire lid. Then it fades a lot. The lighter colours crease on me as well about halfway through the day.
I’ve tried applying with a wet brush and that causes the shadows to crumble a lot.
I don’t regret buying this palette because it was so cheap, and I’ll be holding on to it for times when I travel and my luggage has a high chance of being knocked around (so I don’t mind if it shatters, nor if it’s the only palette I have on me). However bear in mind I am using this palette with good quality primers and brushes and even then I find it very okay. I would recommend this to someone who is on a budget and wants to experiment with colours, but this is definitely NOT a performance dupe for a better quality product.

This is really astoundingly good quality. The best drugstore formula by far, and comparable to high end. Except for the shimmers which are terrible imo. That being said, I don’t feel the need to repurchase Modern Renaissance because this one is super close in quality and literally a fraction of the price.

I love Wet n Wild’s eyeshadow formula. This palette is a supposed dupe for the ABH Modern Renaissance palette and although I have never tried the ABH one, I can see that the shades appear very similar if not identical. These eyeshadows are creamy and soft and blend like a dream. I would highly recommend them. They are some of my absolute favorite. For more of my thoughts: IG: @xeniaalexisberdy

Gorgeous pigmentation and shade range on this palette. The packaging is very cheap but the quality of the shadows is amazing. Shadows are vibrant and have great staying power, not fading or creasing over the course of the day/night. Value for the money is on point. I am always impressed with the quality of WnW shadows. Do yourself a favour and pick this up.

I had a coupon and paid only $4 with tax. I usually only use EL eyeshadow, but always disappointed with EL because they are not very pigmented, but pretty colors. Urban decay eyeshadow are very pigmented and blend beautifully. I saw Wet n Wild palette and thought the colors were beautiful, why not try it and I had a coupon.
Oh my goodness, these are very pigmented and blend beautifully. You will not be disappointed for 10 colors. I will try the other palettes now.
If you are not sure how to apply, the back has two suggestions and maps out the colors and steps to apply.
The case is compact and perfect for traveling.

I just bought this palette because I don’t have those colors in my collection and it is very cheap, also I’ve seen many reviews about how good is this palette and I want to try it out. I like the quality of this shadows, they have fall out but is not crazy, the pigmentation is so good, be careful when you apply them because you can over charge your eye, they are super blendable and I love that.
It has 2 shimmery shadows and they’re good but not super metallic or shinny so consider that. I always apply primer first and they last all day, so I don’t know if they work without primer. You can do a lot with this palette, has the perfect transition shades, some warm tones that matches every skin tone, the only thing I can complain is that the darker brown once you apply it is not that dark, I would like it to be deeper to create more dimension but overall is so good.
Totally recommend it!!!!

Believe the hype. The formulation of these shadows is buttery and rich, and the colors are pigmented as all get out. Someone else said they had an issue with its staying power but that wasn’t the case for me. Outstanding quality at an absurdly low price point.

This palette is a must have!!! It’s absolutely perfect in every way! The colors are opaque and blend out beautifully. You also can’t go wrong with the price either, it’s $5! I did a tutorial with this palette down below if you’re interested in seeing how it performs.
