I have a few TF palettes (choc bar, bonbons, semi-sweet; peanut butter jelly, Natural love palette w 30 shades, Peach & this) so ive got like ~100 or so TF colors I reckon & not a dud in them. This palette is my fave out of them bcoz I love cat eyes & u can wet the right side colors to make them into powder eyeliner how kewl is that?! Mine was missing its brush but I got it for $13 off Ebay but the look card is kind of useless bcoz the shadows are arranged w how ur sup to use them basically. I love these colors esp how the lid color are bigger more product nice! I have grey eyes & this brings them out! I will definitely be buying more 9 pans esp if I can get them for $13 (yes it’s real it’s supposedly got a couple of dings but it looks perfect to me except missing brush.) normally these are $36 I would not buy them for that but $13 bring them on! I love Ebay.

grade: A- (need liquid to wet liners so not very portable I like to use MAC fix + w it).

The Cat Eyes palette is one of Too Faced’s nine-pan eyeshadow palettes, containing a mix of cool, neutral and warmer shades. You get Purr [shimmering white/beige], Tiger’s Eye [shimmering bronze/brown], Leopard [warm matte brown, with gold microglitter], Meow [neutral matte beige], Pussy Cat [shimmering lavender], Jungle Love [blackened purple with fuchsia and violet microglitter], Kitten [cool pink satin], Kitty Glitter [shimmering silver, with microglitter], and Panther [matte black]. This palette is different to Too Faced’s other eyeshadow palettes by having three of the shades [Leopard, Jungle Love & Panther] formulated for being dampened for use as a liner or intense eyeshadow for party looks, but drying back perfectly for use as a regular powder eyeshadow.
I can tell that a lot of thought went into this palette; the shades are a nice mix; cool neutral and warm tones, in a mix of matte, satin, shimmer and microglitter finishes. There’s a good balance between wearable practical-but-pretty ‘everyday’ shades, and the brilliant wet/dry formula on selected ones makes it easy to turn your looks up a notch or two for night/free time. The shades can be worn on all skin tones and they actually compliment each other too.
My only issue with the Cat Eyes palette is that the wet/dry shade Panther leans more towards charcoal when used dry and is only true-black when applied wet, but I’ll probably only use it damp for lining, so I’m not overly bothered by this. A niggle for me is that the shades containing microglitter have a bit of fallout, but I think this is quite minimal for Too Faced’s microglitter formulas. The only other thing that I’d caution people over is that Too Faced have released similar colours before in their 9-pan palette releases, so if you own some other palettes by them, it’s worth double-checking before buying this.

Too Faced makes my favorite eye shadows these days. While the colors can run to similar themes (almost always browns, purples, silver and gold) they are so wearable and the texture is so soft and buildable that I just love them. The Cat Eyes Palette is arranged so that the three shadows across the nine create a look provided in a small foldout brochure. The palette is that paintbox metal, enameled in a leopard print. It comes with a leopard print liner brush as well.
The shadows have larger pans for the all-over lid lightest shade, something Too Faced does a lot. They go from bone (Purr) nude (Meow) to pale pink (Kitten.) The first look–a day look takes Tiger Eye and Leopard (bronze and brown) across the top with Purr. Tiger Eye and Leopard are shimmery. Next look is a pink lined over dark purple (Meow, Pussy Cat–Pink, Jungle Love–glittery dark plum) Finally an evening look Kitten (pale pink) Kitty Glitter (hahah, silver) and Panther (ebony brown.)
Sadly, the palette doesn’t have the eye looks in those small cards that Too Faced sometimes uses, and that’s a shame as I just love those. The liner brush is just meh–if it was two-ended and had a fluff end for applying shadow, it might have worked better. But over all you can go a week with this tiny palette (it’s small but thick) in a carry on and have many eye looks–as long as you like pink, purple and brown. If you don’t, you won’t like this. It’s priced well, so I don’t feel so bad about having repeat shadow colors, one thing Too Faced kinda does. But these colors are basic and useful and the palette is just so darned cute. Here, kitty, kitty…
