I think this is a great face palette. All 6 pans are very smooth and have a nice formula. The blushes are more pigmented then I prefer but a softer touch with my brushes fixes that. They all give a very nice illusion to your skin, a nice soft glow that works even with my extremely oily skin. I think this a great palette to buy if you’ve been interested in Hourglass powders, you’re able to test a bit of everything.

Hourglass Ghost Ambient Lighting Edit Palette is a holiday release for Christmas 2019 and my first foray into Hourglass. You get the chance to try two of their best selling finishing powders, a highlighter, a bronzer and two blushes in a compact so although the pricetag is steep I decided to give it a go.
Firstly the transparent plastic packaging feels sturdy but not really luxurious. The silver top is beautiful but also a fingerprint magnet. The pans are very small – literally the size of a regular MAC eyeshadow – so you can’t use larger fluffy brushes at all.
On to the product now the powders are absolutely the most finely milled and would never look powdery. Since I’m fair Dim Light on its own darkens my skin so I I apply it mixed with Diffused Light which compliments my skin better. Pleased with them but I don’t use finishing powders daily and my Meteorites seem to be neverending.
Iridescent Strobe light is a fantastic pale pink subtle highlighter just the way I like it.
Eternal Bronze Light has thankfully no orange undertones but it’s not my favorite bronzer either (Tom Ford Terra is The One) Additionally I find it daunting to apply bronzer with an itty bitty brush.
Then you get two blushes, one shimmery reddish coral (Iridescent Rose) and a satin finish peachy pink (Sublime Flush) They both apply evenly and look pretty on the cheeks.
Overall I’m definitely going to use it up, there are no duds here but it’s simply too expensive for the amount you get. There are so many products out there that do a great job too without breaking the bank so I wouldn’t repurchase.
