I love most of smashbox products . This didn’t get my normal 5star on products . I didn’t fill that it last as long as it should have . I did however think that it was beautifully packaged. Smash box has alot of great products this just wasn’t one of my favs. But not every person fills the same about products . I would recommend trying what’s right for your skin tones and likes and dislikes . Smash box is still one of my favorite makeup 💄 supplier’s.

A salesperson at Ulta recommended this kit for me. I was looking for a nice eyeshadow trio without a ton of sparkle or glitter. This was a great buy. The shadows are great. I have done the am and pm eyes and both looked great.
I was also impressed with the blush/bronzer duo. It gives me a nice glow, without looking too orange.
The lipgloss is nice for a daytime look, but I would not wear it for evening alone–and I didn’t like the way it looked over the primer!
The bag with two sides is also great. For the price, this has been a great set.

This is an Ulta exclusive for this week’s Labor Day holiday. When I got my flyer a week earlier before the sale, I was really pumped and excited to get the kit because it came with a full size face primer (my HG) and a duo blush (which I absolutely love from these kinds of kits!). For the price of a full size primer and added bonus, this kit was a steal! I’m always looking forward for these kits (ones that have the duo blushes). If you have never tried the primer this is the time to buy it – this kit provides more for your buck and other great goodies to try out! I’m always happy with Smashbox kits because not only are the price reasonable, but you get a generous size to try out. I still have my travel size primer from a kit I got a year ago and have a ton left – that’s how generous these kits are!
I have never tried the Smashbox eye primer because I’m loving my HG Too Faced Shadow Insurance too much, but after getting this kit and trying out the eye primer for 2 long days I’ve found another love! I will definitely be buying a full size of the eye primer in the future. I’m not going to say much about the face primer as I already have a separate review for that in my profile. The duo blush as always is the other reason I get these kits. It is so pigmented and stays on all day on me. The two colors go very well together and for the size you get a ton! While I have not used all the shadows in the trio eyeshadow, I do love the lightest shade as a highlight blender (when I blend the crease shadows in with the highlight). They are also pigmented and the kit has a great booklet that shows how to use the trio from day to night looks which I will be trying some time soon. I have not tried the lipgloss yet, but the color is beautiful in the tube – and full size!
With the purchase of this kit, you get a full size (without the sharpener) Smashbox Limitless Eye Liner in Slate (LE). I’ve tried this e/l and fell inlove! It is a dark charcoal color and works terrific on neutral shadow looks, great substitute for my typical gel black liners. I hope they add this to their permanent collection because I’ve been using it nonstop and prefer it over my gel liner! I set it with black eyeshadow and the charcoal color still shows through without making the whole line look completely black – love it!
I forgot to add that the kit (as shown in the pic above) comes with a makeup bag which has 2 openings on both sides where you can separate your am makeup from your pm makeup stash. I’m currently using it as my purse makeup bag and find it handy because it is a lot easier to find my things in separate compartments, plus I can see right through it 🙂
UPDATE 9/13/10: I have tried all the eye shadow in the trio and they go so well together! I especially love the taupe shade, it goes so well on my crease as a NC30. In the kit booklet guide it suggested using the eye primer on lips for a nude look… DO NOT TRY IT!!! It made my lips look dry, chapped and it creased. The eye primer is best on the eyes for sure. While the lip enhancing gloss shade looks beautiful on the tube, it didn’t look great worn alone on me, it just wasn’t pigmented enough to show some color. I prefer using it on top of some nude and pink lipstick shades.
