I bought the first edition. pans don’t fall out like other bh products I’ve purchased. the color pigment isn’t that great on some of the pigments unless applied wet and when blended out there isn’t much color pay off left. I would repurchase but a different edition because I don’t use most the colors in this one

I bought the third edition palette about three or four years ago, and to be honest I rarely use them. And even when I did use them, I always felt like something was odd about this whole thing. I made sure that my brushes weren’t the problem, and I applied primer, but I still didn’t loved them.
So anyway, I went on YouTube because I wanted to make sure I was using them properly, but the answer was the same I already had: these aren’t worth the hype.
Most of this eyeshadows don’t even show up when you apply them, even if you really pack them, and some are chalky too, the color payoff and pigmentation are disappointing.
So out of 120 colors, I can only use about 8, 10 top. Besides, some colors are too repetitive; I mean, they look different but they are basically the same when applied.
I don’t know if the latest editions are different, but at least this one isn’t worth the money.

I purchased this palette when I was in 8th grade, I was cheap but wanted nice makeup and this is definitely the product that delivered just that. Three years later and I still love this palette!
Pros:
– Nice pigmentation
– Looks GREAT with a white base or primer
– Variety of colors, endless looks!
– Lasts forever, doesn’t crease
– Cheap, but quality isn’t sacrificed
Cons
– Some of the colors are very similar/repeated
– The packaging is very cheap, the mirror in mine broke and I occasionally have to put the eyeshadow pans back in because they fall out
Overall this palette is perfect for beginners or pros

I bought the 4th edition because it looks pretty in the picture and regretted it so much. This is seriously one of the worst palettes I own so far. The eye shadows are ok pigmented but so chalky and crumbly. They just won’t blend nicely on the eyelids and create a lot of fall-outs. For some weird reason, the 88 palette and 120 palette (same as 1st edition) that I ordered from ebay seems to be more pigmented and less chalky.

I just now bought my first BH Cosmetics palette and it is the Tropical matte palette.I’m surprised that the shadows are so pigmented.Much better than Coastal Scents Palette shadows. You just have to pack up some of the color.I love the colors in this palette, imagination is your limit with these colors.Fall out,yes there’s much of fall out,but so do other shadows fall out as well.I just have to fix the issue when I’m done doing eyeshadow.I bought this from eBay,it’s way pricier that it is on BH website, but worth it,I think!! Good blendability, and I really mean it. The colors aren’t all totally matte, but most of them are.And it’s okay. This palette makes me want more of BH palettes. I will purchase them pretty soon.

I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with the palettes …so I ordered one was real excited because im a makeup artist and have a palette this size is quite convenient … well the colors were nice but as far as being pigmented I have to say I was very very disappointed and so much fall out ….I dont time for all that …no wonder it wad so cheap so ladies going cheaper is not always better you get what you pay for and I sure did … the colors were so flat you literally had to pack it on and even then it still was ok …I was expecting it to be pigmented like mac , or urban decay ..it’s ok for like junior high school girls just starting out or some one who once to wear little to no makeup but as a makeup artist this will just not do …I guess ill give to my 9 year old cousin to play with ..So disappointed the only good thing about it was the price and the packaging 👎 ..

This is a good product to experiment with colors. I have the 4th palette (shimmery) and the 5th (neutrals).
These eyeshadows NEED to be worn with a primer for the color to stand out and not fade out at the end of the day. I like to have so many colors available so that I can play around really bold looks and more neutral ones.

I decided to give bh cosmetics a try after hearing all the rave reviews. I did my research and thought “hey maybe they are that great”. Well.. I bought them on sale two 120 palletes or 26$. I got the 3rd and 5th edition.
I’ve had them for about 5 months now and I must say I rarely reach for them. I find that most of the colors are all the same and even those that don’t look the same- look the same once applied. The color pay off is alright. But there is a ton of fallout.
On side note: I used one of the dark brown eyeshadows to fill in my eyebrows one day and found that the eyeshadow did not last at all. My eyebrows had never faded before- when using a ELF eyeshadow. However with the BH I was losing my eyebrows in about 4-5 hrs. That really showed me that these eyeshadows don’t have aren’t good. Bad payoff, don’t last, a lot of fallout and you are basically getting repeated colors.
I think those people on youtube are paid to rave about BH. I have some sonia kashuk eyeshadows from target and they are way better than this.
I regret buying them. And yes I used a primer.

I got the eBay version because it’s obviously the same thing for a lot less money. I absolutely love it. Beautiful super blendable colors with just the right amount of shimmer. I also have the 28 neutral palette and I can’t say enough good about it also. I think these products are great. However; I bought the 88 warm palette first and I hate it. One thing that makes all these palettes worth the money is a jar of NYX white eyeshadow base. If you skip that you are wasting your money and won’t be satisfied with any of it. Trust me-I tried.

I don’t understand the tremendous praise for these palettes. I love drugstore makeup and imo there are far better eyeshadows in the drugstore. There’s a lot of fallout and worse, the colors swatch well but they do not wear well. Even with a good primer and base, after an hour or so the colors fade. They also do not blend well. Sigh.
