I love Martha’s glitter, it’s fantastic!

I found this video on YouTube and tried it, since I have tons of glitter that I haven’t used in years.
So I busted out my stash and tried it. I have so many disappointing glitter polishes – they look amazing in the bottle but need 10 coats to get anything remotely close to the effect. You know what I’m talking about. Anyway, pouring gitter on wet polish is way more effective, and it’s a lot cheaper. I use a soft sable brush to brush off the excess. The one problem is top coat. I usually need about 4 or 5 coats since the glitter sucks it up. I’ve tried different brands but Martha Stewart’s glitter works the best. It doesn’t change color and it’s much finer. I get mine from Michael’s, and they always have a 40% coupon in their ad.

I bought this glitter with the intention of using it on my nails, which worked great! I started to wonder whether this kind of glitter could be used on eye make up.
I read as much as I could online and found the previous review here. I was sceptical but I figured the BEST way to check if Martha’s glitter is cosmetically safe, was to buy a cosmetic glitter.
The cosmetic glitter compared to Martha Stewart’s glitter looks EXACTLY the same. Clearly, I was not looking though a microscope but they definitely look the same size.
From what I found in researching glitter for the eyes, most people were saying that craft glitter is square and has a larger chance of scratching the eyes. Martha’s glitter is round and seems to be the same “material” as the cosmetic glitter I bought.
The choice is totally yours but I wanted this review to have some of the information that I couldn’t find. I will be using the glitter on my eyes as I am convinced it is fine. I do suggest using a glitter base (I use Lit Cosmetics glitter base which works really well) to prevent fall out into your eyes.
Though Martha’s glitter is a little expensive…in the scheme of things, it’s cheap because I spent $10 on one glitter that was the same amount of product, versus $30 for 12 amazing colours. PLEASE keep in mind this is Martha Stewart’s IRIDESCENT FINE GLITTER. She has other ones that are different, so be careful! I hope this helps!
PS. I gave it a 4 rating because I cannot be 100% sure of its safety. It hasn’t caused me issues though so if I could I would give it a 4.5.

This glitter is finely milled and comes in the most beautiful colors- perfect for eyemakeup, highlighting, facepainting, and nails (in addition to normal crafts!). A set of 24 colors is $30 at Michaels or a giant jar of a single color is $5. And in case you’re worried about being cosmetically safe, I found this source:
“There was a runway show for ‘Victoria’s Secret’ recently where they covered the stage and models with glitter. Martha had someone on her show and basically took credit for the Institute’s glitter (which was the glitter that was used, not Martha Stewart Glitter)! This woman also said that all of their super fine glitters are usually polyester and that Martha Stewart is using glitter in her line that is ‘copied’ off her company’s glitter.”
