Rice Rice Baby was released as part of OPI’s Tokyo collection in 2019 and it is one of my surprise favourites from the collection. Rice Rice Baby is a cool toned pink which is dusty enough to be considered a neutral shade. It is very elegant and flattering, suitable for more conservative environments if this is something you need to consider. I had no problems with the formula. It was easy to work with, good consistency and non-streaky or runny. It was fully opaque in two coats and dried to a shiny finish. It also wore extremely well. It wears for around a week when paired with base and top coat, and I suffered from no tipwear or chipping. I highly recommend this shade. It looks a little boring in the bottle but is gorgeous on the nail!

Loving this color! Reminds me of Hawaiian orchid! Maybe a touch more pink than iridescent purple though. It’s a gorgeous pink, purple, mauvy neutral! I have it on my toes! Classy and ladylike!

Rice Rice Baby is part of OPI’s spring and summer 2019 collection, Tokyo. It’s an absolutely beautiful shade of light pink: a dusty pink with cool undertones which looks very feminine and elegant. It’s very spring like and especially good for early spring, before the weather gets really warm and you feel like puling out your brighter colors. Application was not a problem; although another reviewer wrote that it went on streaky and needed three coats for full coverage, I found it to be quite pigmented and it went on smoothly (maybe the other one was a bad bottle? It happens).

Rice Rice Baby is from spring 2019’s Tokyo collection, and it is a neutral light/medium pink shade of polish, with a creme finish. The shade has a white-with-a-splodge-of-mauve undertone to it which makes the shade appear brighter then it really is. This is a great choice for spring and summer, as it makes even my pale skin look tanned.
I absolutely love the colour of this polish, but the formula is a total let-down, as it needs three generous coats to level out, and after those 3 coats there are still some visible streaks left. OPI polishes will last me anywhere between two to four days with only minimal wear. But as I’m a self powered wheelchair user I’m tough on my hands and am always catching my nails, so I can’t really speak for how long lasting the formula is overall. I rated this polish three lippies as using a matte topcoat in place of your usual basecoat, and/or a glitter topper or gel-effect topcoat evens and plumps up the polish enough to even out any remaining streaks, so this polish is just about usable (though I dislike the thick feeling of it). Comparing this polish to the ones in the majority of OPI’s great 2-coats-and-you’re-done formulas, I found Rice Rice Baby to be a big disappointment.
