I was in search for a new moisturiser for my skin because Australia stopped selling Biotherm. Lately I have been braking out more than usual, as I only break out hormonally, and I stumbled across this product in Mecca. The “oil free” caught my eye and it sucked me in. This product went on nicely and smoothly, and gave my skin the matte appearance. BUT it didn’t really last long, my skin was oily again within an hour and it broke me out even more. The breakouts I was getting before using this produce were very superficial, small white heads but while using this product I was getting very deep, large blind pimples. I will be returning this product.

I was attracted to the words ” oil free ” and “zero oil” when I was at the duty free shop in the airport as I have combination skin, it becomes oily especially during work. It was considered expensive for such a small tube of product ,contains only 50ml in a small blue tube.
Product has a light mint scent , I used their cleanser of this range before the same scent but still acceptable as it is not too strong. Quite lightweight and not too greasy.
I liked this sort of tube packaging as it is so much more hygienic compared to jars and I can feel how much product is left although the contents are not visable. Hence I can gauge when I can start on my new moisturizer.
However,I am not sure if its due to this moisturizer, I felt my foundation slides off much more easily especially at my T zone. I used a primer , loose powder and face mist but my foundation still slides off very easily and it won’t last til my work ends. Require touch up and I used two different foundation but yet they still slip and slide.
I don’t think I will be repurchasing again as I find that product is too little for its price and the foundation slipping issue.
Remember to return your products to Origins as they have a recycling programme whereby they accept all brands of skincare/makeup to be given to them for recycling purposes. Good idea to save the earth with your make up empties/ pan projects.

I’m surprised about all the negative reviews on here. It’s a lightweight moisturizer that keeps my skin nicely hydrated. I don’t know if it really helps control oil but I still like it as a basic moisturizer.

This is a very basic moisturizer for oily skin. The fragrance in it is unnecessary, and I’ve used oil control moisturizers for less that worked MUCH better. I ended up returning it.

Didn’t like the product much, ended up returning it. Ended up with this moisturizer, and used it with the zero oil cleanser and toner after I went into origins to try the zero oil matte finish. This product left my face oilier than what I was using before. It’s not a greasy product but I guess what I was using before worked better for $10 cheaper!!

Never heard of this until I saw it in the CCO. I am not that oily anymore (thanks to getting older) but in the South our makeup tends to melt off the skin. I needed a moisturizer that did the job but wasn’t greasy. This is a lightweight basic moisturizer. I don’t know that it really helps control oil…but its worth a shot for someone who is younger than me. My first thought was “oh this smells minty” and had a very tiny tingly feeling when applied. I use about a pea size for my whole face, which is just perfect.

I did not like this product. It did not control my oil, but made it worse. Plus, after one month of using it, I had a lot of breakouts. I think that even though the product tries to control my oil, it made my skin think that it did not have enough moisture…therefore, making it produce more oil. Instead, I switched to a more moisturizing cream, and my oil is now better under control. I really dislike Origins Zero Control Oil Lotion…The only good thing that I have to say about it is that it has a light, fresh feeling when you put it on. After an hour or so, my skin just is drenched in shine and oil…so much for oil control.

My tube of this is nearly finished, not sure if I would want to re-purchase this product. I bought it to help control my dry/oily/acne prone skin, however for all these factors I personally haven’t seen any improvement. It feels nice after applying, it absorbs rather quickly and doesn’t feel greasy or heavy and it has a nice fresh minty smell to it. But it makes my skin look really shiny! I’ve found recently that my skin looks flaky in areas even after applying generous amounts (maybe that’s just down to the cold weather). Before starting this stuff, I was originally using the Clinique oil free moisturizer for acne prone skin which I much prefer and will probably go back to. Lastly for the price of this, I would expect to get more product!

Really expensive for such a tiny tube! But it seems to work for my skin. I’ve been using this along with the Zero-oil cleanser and toner. I use a pea sized amount and it absorbs really well, doesn’t leave a weird sticky residue like a lot of other moisturisers I’ve tried.

This moisturizer makes my face oilier, breaks me break out and doesn’t moisturize my dry spots. I thought it might of been something else but I’ve tried it a few times now with the same results. Waste of money.
