Let me just start by saying that I use this product in place of a hydrating primer, I do not use it as an actual moisturizer.
I find that gel-creams like this work wonders if you use them as a base for your makeup, especially if your skin is on a drier side. It is a weightless, quick-absorbing formula with a sweet tropical scent (it goes away after a min or so) that creates a nice base for your foundation to just glide on. Especially if it has been a while since you did your actual skincare routine, pop a bit of this on and it will soothe and refresh in no time.

I tend to like Marc Jacobs’ makeup products and primers, but I wasn’t so sure what the brands retexturizing moisturizer would be like. Let me start out by addressing the “retexturizing” word in the title. This moisturizer cannot do much to retexture skin or exfoliate because the PH is not in the range to allow exfoliation or retexturizing. Thankfully the Youthquake Gel Creme is hydrating, almost so much that it is greasy. I found that this works better in my night routine. Using it in my morning routine made my face feel very oily by mid-day. I also had the beginning of a breakout after using this and I never breakout.
The Youthquake Hydra-Full Retexturizing Gel Creme has a small amount of fragrance in it, but thankfully the scent dissipates quickly. The packaging for this moisturizer has a very luxe feel, but I would prefer an airless jar that makes dispensing the product much easier. Overall, this is an okay moisturizer, but it just didn’t impress me as much as other products from Marc Jacobs. The UnderCover Coconut Primer is still a favorite of mine as well has the Omega! Bronzer and Omega Mascara. My more detailed video review can be seen here: 4
