It smells great. Very moisturizing & it helps in lightening of my dark spots/scars after using it religiously with Laneige white plus renew original essence every night for over a year. It brightens up my skin & makes it moist + supple the next morning.
* I believe Laneige has upgraded & renamed the product from night cream to original cream which is not as oily & easier to be absorbed onto my skin

I used the Laneige essence, cream and emulsion and absolutely loved how it made my skin feel, soft and plump. This product however gave me a really bad reaction. I woke up at night with my skin itching and in the morning, my face was extremely red all over my check and chin. I put on aloe vera gel and waited for it to calm down. I know it is this cream because I did nothing different from my other skincare regimen or ate anything different the night before. I wish I could figure out what kind of ingredient made my skin react like this because I love all the Laneige 6 step skincare regimen. I will post picture later.

This cream is super light weight not sticky or oily. The texture is more of a gel cream.It did not clog pores or cause breakouts. Great for combination oily skin but not moisturizing enough for combination dry skin. Not strong enough to get rid of dry flacky patches. It did not help whiten the essence works better. Great as a basic light night moisturizer. I did not like the packaging it comes in a jar a pump bottle would be more hygenic and fine dust or small particles would not get into the cream.

Nice texture (light nice fragrance too), absorbs well (though maybe not for oily skin types), and most importantly, it does a good job of promoting fair radiance to the skin. I see my complexion becoming fairer and more radiant with 2-3 weeks of continued use. It is a bit pricey outside of Korea, so do stock up if you happen to be in Korea or get the set (with the serum) from those airport DFS.

I like this product- but i did not use the whole range. initiali it was good with the gentle cleanser for sensitive skin, toner for normal skin,water bank essence, the night cream. then when i finish my toner- they switch me to oil-combination skin and i found if i use the usual amount- sparsely- then its not hydrating enough- so i put more- then i get acne on some areas over night. i have hence switch toner and the problem abated.
Immediate use- moisturized
long term- some brightening.
I find i get better results when paired this with clinique brightening essence.
it’s hard for me to be fair as daily i get exposed to direct sunlight 45 to 90 minutes from my work.This product along with occasional sun block- prevents premature darkening and no more dull looking skin.

I really really really like this product!
Was a little hesitant to try this product at first as I have never used (or had the intention of using) a whitening product. I am acne prone and my skin gets clogged very easily, so I am very careful with the products I use.
To make sure I have no adverse reaction to this (as it seems rather rich), I first started using this once a week, before moving on to 3 times a week. I have been using it every night for a month now and my skin is remarkable clear and glowing every morning. It is perfect for my winter skin as it tends to be dry, tight and sometimes flaky. Due to the dry air at this time of the year, I normally wake up to a tight uncomfortable face. But since I have started using it, my morning skin feels plump and smooth.
I have also not experienced any breakouts (hormonal blemishes don’t count) and there have been no clogs. My skin has never feel and look this good in a while!

Actual review date: April 4, 2010 – The White Plus Renew range is the revamped version of their original whitening line, Star White. The cream is thicker in consistency than the original Star White cream, so it’s more moisturizing than the original. With that said, I would think it’s a rad rich for oily skintypes. I was using this during the winter months and it was perfect for what I needed (I have normal-dry sensitive skin).It gave me sufficient moisture and helped fade away acne marks and even-out my skintone. I saw brighter skin in two weeks 🙂 I was happy with the results. I used this both day and night (I have normal-dry, sensitve skin), first rubbing a pea-size between my fingers to warm up the product for better absorption, and pat it on my cheeks, forehead, nose and chin, and massage it allover.
It doesn’t clog my pores or irritate my sensitive skin. The scent is stronger in this version than the last, but not overwhelmingly so.
I think the White Plus Renew range is a richer version of the Star White line. I think Laneige was aiming for hydration in this version cos most other whitening skincare lines tend to be drying. I’m more satisfied with this hydrating version since I think hydration is key for soft, supple, youthful-looking healthy skin, and having healthy skin would normally mean having clearer skin, not necessarily white, but even-toned with no ruggedness/redness/discoloration/etc. I think the best way to brighten your skin is to use a gentle brightening moisturizer (cream or serum) and exfoliator (gentle, and only 1-2 per wk). Also, sunscreen daily.
All in all, the Laneige White Plus Renew Night Cream is an efficient brightening cream that’d be ok for normal-to dry, and even sensitive skin types. It’s a bit moisturizing for oily skintypes, but you can make do with using less of it. It’s not pore-clogging nor irritating. I love this cream a little more than the original Star White one; I’m already done with the jar.

This is the Night Cream that comes with Laneige’s new White Plus Renew line, which is basically an upgrade of the Star White line.
This product is alcohol-free, which I love.
This Night Cream is incredibly moisturizing- I am really glad because I don’t have to purchase two different products for moisturizing and whitening, this does both. It always makes my skin feel a lot happier before I sleep! The texture is a bit thick which kind of makes you feel like your skin is being “protected” while you sleep. Hahahaha. I like thick creams for the night time so this really works well for me.
My skin has become very radiant, I have had a reduction in pimples, red spots… My gosh I wish I had taken a before/after picture. My skin has improved so much.
Beware though, I use this along with the Essence, Eye Cream and Skin Refiner so it could be any one of them doing the magic!
