I got the full size in my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus to try. This is a thick gel-cream that spreads nicely on my skin, and doesn’t feel greasy. It is nice as a daytime moisturizer. It is not extremely moisturizing, but I think this would be really great for oily skins. For my combo to dry, more mature skin, this would never work in the winter, and it’s not enough for a nighttime moisturizer. But for when I want something lighter, it works ok. The scent doesn’t bother me at all, but I would prefer it not be there. Overall, I didn’t mind using the tube up as a lighter alternative for the summer, but it’s not effective enough, or appropriate enough for my skin to warrant repurchasing. (I also think that if you are looking for a gel type moisturizer, there are better and cheaper options out there.)

Another full-size product from a recent New Beauty TestTube. NB sent it to me in the September box, which is bad timing because this is a good gel-type moisturizer for warm weather.
Pros:
–Pleasant going on, easy to spread
–Nice gel texture
–Good moisturization without exacerbating acne
Cons:
–Gah, that watermelon scent. I realize a lot of people like watermelon. I’m one of the few people that hates it.
–The price. The retail is $45USD for a 50 ml (1.7 fl oz) tube, but I paid $52USD for a 48 ml (1.6 fl oz) jar of Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Acid Cloud Cream, so what do I know.
Overall, I’m taking off a half-lipstick for that icky watermelon and half a stick for the price. But you know what, I would consider buying it again. Maybe they will make another scent in the same product. I’d love to have a passion fruit or even a peach-mango gel version!
