I have normal skin that needs a light moisturizer when it’s hot and humid, but besides that, any cream that’s not too heavy is good for me all year round. Dr. Jart+ Water Drop, unfortunately, isn’t up to that simple task, let alone hydrate or illuminate the skin. As other reviewers pointed out it’s a gel that turns watery on the skin and rapidly dries leaving the most uncomfortable stickiness on the face. I tried this a few times and it always made me want to rinse it off after a few minutes.
I’ve tried it again in different wheather conditions: higher temperatures and humidity and it performs a little better but it still leaves a sticky film on my skin. Some reviewers write it’s not meant to be used alone but layered so I’m asking layered with what? A € 200,00 Sisley cream? Of course not, those work perfectly well on their own, unlike this, in the end, useless product.

I would have appreciated a pump as on the BB cream. This is a typical water gel moisturizer, that is good for summer, but not dry skin in winter. I liked the texture, and is wore well under makeup. Neutrogena Hydro Gel does the same for alot less money, has a pump and SPF.

My new go to for daytime under my makeup. This is hydrating without the feeling of oiliness or any pilling with face makeup. Skin drinks it in quickly and is left feeling refreshed and hydrated. The water droplets being dispersed on skin upon applying is just a cool added feature in my opinion. I’ve essentially been using this as my primer since I don’t like traditional primers much and haven’t had much luck in finding one that really works for me. This would be ideal at night if a serum was layered underneath first. Hasn’t made my skin break out. Over the course of two weeks my skin seems somewhat brighter and more even toned which was completely unexpected. Smoothed out fine lines and plumps up my skin, making my foundation apply well and hold up all day. I give it a few mins to settle in before makeup application. Glad I tried this brand!
