I am truly shocked how many bad reviews this product has such bad reviews. I truly didn’t think it was bad at all and matter of fact I liked it a lot. It keeps my skin nice and hydrated. It doesn’t peel off at all and goes on smoothly. Reading the reviews I was scared to try. It just goes to show that everyones skin is different and each skincare product reacts different to each person.

packaging is cute and price is not too bad for a shiseido product
i did not like this cream at all.
i like the clear color and gel texture but for a gel, it sits very heavy on my skin.
its like a mask that never absorbs and left my face feeling very greasy i had to take a paper towel to absorb it and then use a facial spray to tone down the stickiness and pat my face again.
after a month on and off using this product, i find it very hard to use, and wont be reaching for it anymore

As somebody with PCOS-related cystic acne, I’ve run the gamut when it comes to finding the right skincare and makeup products to use in conjunction with prescription medications to treat my skin issues. I recently started using two topical prescription medications for my acne, and my skin as gone from typically combination to completely dry. I needed a daytime moisturizer that could handle this major change (and hopefully not add to the bumps on my face). This moisturizer is exactly the game-changer I needed!
I love that it’s a gel consistency, but applies so smoothly like a cream. It isn’t sticky/tacky, and it absorbs quickly and evenly. I also love that it doesn’t cause pilling when I apply makeup, which is a problem I’ve run into with other moisturizers. I can also put this on super early in the morning and not look shiny, cakey, or dry at the end of my day. And so far I’ve not experienced any breakouts/bumps/reactions since switching to this, which is also a problem I’ve had with other moisturizers.
There are only two minor negatives, but not enough to detract from my rating: No SPF, and there is a fragrance that can seem strong when first applying (although it goes away after a minute).
I’ve used Shiseido products in the past and really liked them, but jumped around to other brands at different price points with differing ingredients (Murad, Origins, Sunday Riley, Clinique, etc.)–although nothing new that I tried was really working for me. I am so glad I went back to Shiseido, and found the perfect daytime moisturizer for me!

It’s a gel cream claimed to be for people who have acne. I don’t really have acne and I just want hydration which it doesn’t give me that.

got this on a discount & i loved the packaging. the texture itself is quite tricky to use. i can’t combine this with my shiseido bio performance serum because it will flake off no matter how long i let it absorb, it just seems to clash. it has a bit of wax-y feel after you put it on, it keeps the skin hydrated but not hydrated in a sense like supple. it’s more like skin coating feel to it. i’m trying hard to love this but i just can’t.

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. I’ve never made such a comment about a product but this is really a bad one.
When you pay such a price, you expect it to be at least a “little” good.
It gave me rash once I applied, burnt like hell. (I dont have sensitive skin)
It left a residue, waited it to be absorbed despite the redness on my face but even after an hour it was still not absorbed so I washed my face and applied Avene thermal water and cream to soothe my irritated skin.
Total regret.

It made my acne worse.

I love this! I bought the starter kit or the travel size, which contains the cleanser, toner/lotion and the moisturizer. I’ve had acne for 3 years now and this is the only line that healed mine. I will be purchasing the bigger bottle. It is expensive but totally worth it. My acne is fading now, I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and I haven’t grown acne since using it which is a WOW for me! I usually get 1 or 2 acne everyday and little bumps. I’ve used Shiseido’s line ibuki, it was good but this is absolutely the best. I just use this three steps in the morning and evening. No serums. And it worked. I’m thinking about buying the face scrub and the moisturizer with spf. I hope it will work too.

On my latest trip to the drugstore I got a sample of this brand new Shiseido Waso cream.
The whole new line is designed for the so called Millenials, so pretty young customers I assume.
I’m not a Millenial but I still gave this cream a try.
Shiseido promotes the line with quite catchy slogans like “no rituals, no rules, no routine” and really alien looking models seemingly coming from the last Star Treck convention. But ok, I see the idea and who they want to sell this to.
The cream: is quite light and fresh and has an ok, not overwhelming scent. It spreads to the skin easily and stays lightweight and absorbs quite quickly.
So, if you are in your 20s with normal, fresh skin without any major problems and want to get a little luxury feeling with this add on “we are so different to any humans before”-millenial feeling? Go for it, it was designed for you.
Why I only rate this with two lippies: also in all the ad campains Shiseido makes this look like it has better, higher quality ingredients to the conventional lines, by claiming: “no parabenes, no mineral oil, no plastic parts”. Well, let’s say that is a little missleading as yes, it has no parabenes and mineral oils, but this moisturizer is packed to the brim with silicones. It has 7 (!) different silicone oils in it plus alcohol in the very beginning of the list.
So , design, fine, wanting to reach a certain target group, fine. But kind of claiming this would be in any way “natural” or near organic? Pretty much what I’d call a lie.
