This is it. My HG facial cream for all woes and dryness. I’ve been using this for over a year and it’s simply the best cream I’ve ever used to normalize my skin while using tretinoin (.08, anti-aging regimen). Anyone who’s started on tretinoin will know how deeply drying and irritating it can be, and that leads to owning dozens of creams and serums to find *anything* that will quench the constant tight feeling. IMO, it works better than the best facial oils (tried them) and richest creams. I bought this when I needed something to care for my winter knuckles and my husband recommended I try his jar of vitamin e cream that was really … icky. No thanks, I bought a fresh jar for myself. I decided to try some on my tight face that night. Next morning, my skin felt softer and it was less red! Intrigued, derma e became my morning and night cream. Over the next few weeks, my flaking was 95% diminished, the constant tightness was gone and the irritated pink tone went away. Since then, derma e has been part of my daily regimen and it’s something I don’t believe I’ll ever change. I use it daily, first thing in the morning, as a moisture mask while I drink my coffee (it gets rinsed off in the shower), I use it to buffer the tretinoin at night and the combination seems to work better than tretinoin alone. As of this writing I’m on my 5th tub…yeah, it’s that good. 🙂 Note: I’ve gradually added more derma e products to my regimen and what I use daily are the Soothing Cleanser with Pycnogenol, the DMAE toner and cream (it’s really good!) which go under the vitamin e cream at night, and the oil-free sunscreen in the daytime. I use the DMAE products for firming, not because I need more hydration.
EDIT 1/24/19: Still loving this cream! Every morning I generously apply this all over my face as a moisture mask, letting it hydrate my skin while I have my coffee. Anything not absorbed gets rinsed off in the shower (just water, no cleanser) and my face feels so boosted and soft for the rest of the day.

The list of natural ingredients really caught my eye. After using for a few weeks now I have seen a difference in a few scars that I have on my face. Slowly but surely they are fading and becoming less visible. Has an indistinctive smell, not really sure what it is but doesn’t smell bad. Super moisturizing and not greasy.

I am using this product to try to fade my acne scars on my face and back. It has been 4 days of using it and I can already see it working, and it does not clog my pores and cause breakouts. It is a rich creme, so you only need a very small amount, especially if you plan to wear it under your makeup. I will definitely buy the product again

The natural ingredients attracted me to it. I was recommended this from a sales clerk at vita health for my acne and red skin. Now I have tried countless creams, and usually they all break me out, and never seem to soften my skin.
This one changed it, first off… it literally makes my skin feel as smooth as a baby…. has already cleared up my forehead acne.. after only a couple uses.. and after a few more uses….. it made my face so hydrated that I was able to see a healthy sheen coming through my makeup.
It has made some redness dissapear… not a looot though, but hopefully using it over time it will begin to lessen the redness. Even if it doesn’t I’m still 100% satisfied because this is the first cream to actually properly moisturize my sensitive face…. and it NEVER breaks me out which is a frikin miracle. Even when I slathered this all over my face and you could clearly see that I put too much on….. no break outs!!

This review is for extremely short term use. I have used it twice since I bought it at my doctor’s recommendation. THIS FEELS SO EXPENSIVE. You know when you get a Chanel perfume sample or Tom Ford and you wear it for a few days when you are looking really nice? THIS IS THAT. I used to go Cerave AM/PM ride or die but my dry skin was drinking 5 pumps 2x/ day and even my Cerave got expensive, and I was STILL flaking. #dry. But after two uses, I feel a little tacky since I applied enough to cover my whole body twice (but just on my face/neck), my skin texture is so much better. It feels plump and not tight (FINALLY) and the texture is even better already. It isn’t baby butt yet but I have faith that this cream will get me there. The only bad thing for which I will not deduct one lippie is that it doesn’t smell as luxurious as it feels. I would prefer no scent or a fresh scent. But hey my face finally feels dewy and not arid and not a bad texture. I’m going to buy this for all of my GFs while it’s on sale at Ulta.

I too can’t understand all the good reviews. Firstly (but least importantly) it smells disgusting (but then I hate melons) so that is debatable. But it doesn’t moisturise at all as far as I’m concerned – it’s very light and more watery than creamy – that’s a big exaggeration but it is very light. When applied to the skin, it sort of sits on the surface like a thin film, not greasy, but just there. Eventually absorbs but a few hours later my skin is just as dry if not moreso than before I applied it. I have normal skin btw. Maybe it evaporates off hence the resultant dryness? But seriously, not worth buying. Does nothing.
Edited: Actually I’ll change it to 2 stars – yesterday my skin did feel a bit moisturised/plumped immediately after application for a little while. Still wouldn’t purchase again tho

Not a fan of this cream at all. It leaves me looking oily and after a few days of use my sensitive skin is super irritated. My cheeks especially have become red and inflamed. I find the scent unpleasant as well. I’ll end up using it up as a body lotion or handcream, but not looking forward to smelling the fake melon smell.

I am on my second tub of this, and I love it. Normally anything so heavily scented is enough to scare me away, but despite that, my skin hasn’t had any negative reactions to this creme. It does smell VERY strongly of watermelon bubblegum, which some people might not like.
I have incredibly dry and dehydrated skin at the moment, due to retin-a usage as well as living in a very dry environment. This creme is the only thing that makes my skin feel remotely hydrated and keeps it from flaking up.
I will continue to repurchase this while my dry skin remains an issue, and recommend anyone else out there with extremely dry skin try this out as well.

Just about to buy my second tub of this. I absolutely love it in the UK winter – it makes the skin on my face very happy – and I can wear Estee Lauder Double Wear without looking like a wizened crone. Super moisturising without being greasy and oily. Good value too as the tub is so big and you can use it on your body as well if you go away for the weekend or something and don’t want to take too many products.

I use the vitamin e severely dry skin creme with 12,000 i.u. Of vitamin e, which i am guessing is a more potent version of the derma e moisturizer. This is my HG face moisturizer! I have extremely dry skin that flakes all year long. I used palmer’s cocoa butter on my face for several years because it seemed to be the only product that helped with the dry skin on my face, but the cocoa butter was greasy and had a very strong but not completely unpleasant smell. On a whim I bought the derma e moisturizer and i will never look back. My skin is supple, clear, even and refreshed. The price is great for the huge jar that i got. The creme absorbs into my skin quickly and wears well under makeup. I am even starting to see some lines on my face fade that i am attributing to this product.
