   I’ve been hunting for a drugstore night cream. I like to use vitamin C so I thought this could be a good option. This is fairly heavy and thick. It doesn’t sink in all the way so I feel a little sticky. Even the next morning I can peel a little off. It hydrates ok. But I don’t see any other benefits. It doesn’t break me out but it also doesn’t do much for me. I feel “meh” about it. My favorite moisturizers, when I wake up I think my skin looks clear, bright, fresh, supple. I look a little oily and dull with this one.

   This is a review for Derma E’s Vitamin C renewing moisturizer. Makeupalley doesn’t have a separate review entry for it, but I think it is similar to the night cream.

   I really like this cream. I have been using it together with Derma E’s glycolic acid cleanser. This is my first time using actives or AHAs, and, after only a couple of weeks, my skin is doing much better. It looks brighter, tighter, smoother, more luminous and less blotchy; bumps are reduced, and maybe fine lines as well but that’s hard to tell. Pores are also cleaner and blackheads reduced. Overall, my skin’s vitality seems to have dramatically improved. I am very happy, as I didn’t expect these products to work that well or that quickly.

   (I also added Vital Proteins collagen peptides around this time so the change could be due to that as well; but either way, the cream is definitely doing something.)

   I use the cream with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer, as I find the Vitamin C a bit drying.

   The product smells good (citrus-y) and goes on lightly. The ingredients list is really clean. And it doesn’t irritate my skin, which is saying something as I have dry and sensitive skin.

   Well, to put it simply, if you just want hydrated and glowing skin, this is the product for you. I only bought this product because an Ulta employee suggested it to me in order to clear my face of dark spots. I have never used a night cream in the past, but I was desperate to get my face clear again. It’s pricey, in my opinion, because it’s not a popular brand to begin with. The jar itself is a petri dish waiting to happen. I will admit, it’s a large jar and they don’t skimp on the amount of product inside. The cream does have a smell… it smells like oranges, but it has a hint of rotten egg at the very end. It’s a very thick cream. I was worried it would break me out. A little goes a long way. I’m sure a jar like this can last an entire year even if used everyday. After using this product for weeks, I did see a major difference in how hydrated my skin looked. Before using this product, my face looked VERY dry (even though it’s actually oily). Now it looks radiant and feels so smooth. But I still have unevenness, acne, and redness on my face so it doesn’t fix that. The dark spots on my face didn’t fade away any quicker either. I’m very happy that it didn’t break me out being that it’s so thick. I will not buy again though. Like I said before, I was never big on night creams. If your only problem is dry skin, get this night cream.

   Update: Still using this product and it still makes my skin baby soft without making it oily. It’s good. However, you have to keep using it in order to keep seeing results. Again, it doesn’t help with wrinkles or acne scars so it’s not good enough for me.

   This is a great moisturizer for use as the last item in one’s skincare routine. I first read about it on Amazon where it has very good reviews. It did not break me out or cause any reaction. I have oily skin and a little goes a long way. I use it after my Shiseido Benefiance softener and Corsx Snaill essence. I always wake up to smooth skin. I will definitely buy again. I gave it 4/5 on packaging because dipping fingers in the jar is unhygienic. They must consider providing a spatula in the future.

   I found this gem a couple weeks ago and have used it in my 10-12 step skincare routine. I did try this product alone and it was still deeply moisturizing, but over my lighter Trader Joe’s antioxidant lotion it really helps lock in all the good stuff in my other products as well. I guess I use it in place of a sleeping mask if you’re using it as part of a 10 step Korean skincare plan. It’s a very thick and emmoliant cream with probiotics and vitamin C. I only use it at night bc it’s so thick, although it does sink in after some time. It doesn’t irritate my Retin-A sensitized skin either! It doesn’t have that tingling feeling like most Vitamin C products, yet it seems to still be giving me all of the benefits and without breaking me out.
