I’m not a fan of daytime spf or moisturizers because both seem to aggravate and coat my already oily t-zone. Yet, I know that daily spf is a must and I do indeed use a facial sunscreen with a high spf for days spent outdoors, but I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve usually skipped sun protection for days in the office, instead relying on my spf 15 foundation for that incidental protection…until now. This cream is really a treat. It’s rich yet light, absorbs instantly, dries pretty much matte, and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing much of anything. Yet it improves my skin’s texture and obviously provides a bit more sun protection than does my foundation alone. It doesn’t make me too much greasier as the day goes one, and it smells like yumminess, too. So, yes, I like it.

I got a generous sample size of this (1/4 ounce) in a Sephora VIB gift-bag. I’ve never used anything from Ole Hendriksen before but this might just become my new daytime face cream. It’s considerably cheaper than the Clarins Super-Restorative I have been using in winter (seems to be about half the price) and it is a rich and very pleasant product to use. Leaves my winter-dry face feeling moisturized and looking dewy. It is rich but absorbs very nicely and does not feel or look greasy. Also has a very pleasant, slightly citrusy/Juicy Fruit gum scent that vanishes when applied A little goes a long way too. Plus, there is the added benefit of SPF 15. I will most certainly be purchasing this when I finish up my Clarins cream.
UPDATE: I have since purchased the full size of this – TWICE, which is pretty high praise since I’m so often on the lookout for “something new”! I’ve really liked it but I’m now concerned that, except in the dark days of winter, SPF15 is really no longer sufficient. So as much as I love this, I’m making the switch back to Clinique SuperDefense, which has an SPF of 25.
