I have been using this cream for about 8 years, I remember asking one of my customers what she used on her face because she was 40 and looked 30 and she said glycolic acid. I went out and bought this cream immediately and ever since then, I have been going back and forth between the Night Repair Cream with Magnalys and the Neostrata Firming Anti-Wrinkle Cream (pretty much the same formula of 6% GA but it has Kigeline for elasticity). If you’ve never used GA before, you may have some tingling at first, but it goes away after about a week of use. Whenever I have dull skin and need a pick-up, I use it consistently for about 10 days. I always get compliments on my skin, I feel like when I wake up the next day it definitely gives me more radiance, my skin looks clearer. I use it only at night as my skin is oily/acne prone, this cream does not dry out the skin or make it break out. It doesn’t smell great but not bad either. It used to come in a plastic jar, now it comes in a glass jar which looks more elegant. I love it, it doesn’t make my oily skin more oily which is a surprise because it’s quite a thick cream. I will continue to use it for a long time. It can be expensive, up to $36 but it lasts for about 6 months if you use it daily. Superstore in Canada has it for $21.

I like all of Neostrata’s glycolic acid creams, and this one is included. I’m almost done with my jar, and I used this at night only. I wake up with beautiful, glowing skin every morning. I get the same results with every Neostrata cream. This cream has gotten rid of any little dry spots, and has made my day moisturizer and makeup application so smooth and easy. My skin tone is also much more even when I use this, and I don’t have to use foundation if I don’t want to. I might go to a higher glycolic acid concentration after I use this jar up, but I will definitely come back to this cream after that, to give my skin a break.

Although this is one of the “older” Neostrata products, with lower levels of glycolic acids (6%) and the old-fashioned jar packaging, I actually think it is a decent product, especially for people who have more sensitive skin and can tolerate only low levels of glycolic acid. While I no longer buy this product, I often get it as a “gift with purchase” and I always use it up, especially as a moisturizer over the Neostrata retinol treatment, for which this is a perfect companion.
