I don’t like this product either.
It’s so much more viscous than the other oils I’ve tried. It drips down on the face way too easily and is easy to go overboard with. Unlike pure oils, this one is literally watered down, with the first two ingredients being water and squalane. I feel like it sits on top of my skin and doesn’t do anything. I need to use it as my first layer after cleansing to see any benefit, and that’s not gonna work for me since I like to put a stronger serum on first. Slight green tint as well. I’d rather take a pure oil or different blend of oils. I’ll use this up but not buy it again.

This is the fifth oil I have tried from the Ordinary. I rate it slightly less than the other 3 I’ve tried, mainly as I find it almost too rich/ heavy for my skin – I think it would suit dry to normal skin better than combination skin. Or perhaps I might appreciate its richness more during the colder months of the year. It does have an earthy smell which dissipates fairly quickly. Its still an excellent face oil and all the oils I’ve tried from the Ordinary are great and fantastic value

This is moisturizing and non-irritating but it smells like old dead fish, so much so that I can’t continue to use it. However, it contains a lot of beneficial ingredients including micro-algae, squalane, marula oil, argan oil, baobab oil, rosehip oil, borage oil, and others. It’s only $9.20. The smell might not bother everyone, but when something stinks, it puts me off using it.

I have quite a few different oils from The Ordinary- the Borage Seed Oil, Marula Oil, Squalane Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, but I must say that The Ordinary’s “B” Oil is my favorite for a few reasons. The Ordinary B Oil is made of several different oils. The difficult thing with oils is that there are so many different oils and there really isn’t a best oil since each one has different properties, and as long as they aren’t fragrant, they are probably beneficial. The Ordinary B Oil contains marula, argan, baobab, pataua, brazil nut, inca inchi, rosehip, borage, and also contains the antioxidant algae. This does have a very slight green tint due to the inclusion of micro algae. It is very lightweight and absorbs quicker than most oils do. I also love that this is fragrance and alcohol free.
