Let’s start with the negatives for this product. From reading reviews, I was warned The Inkey List’s Tumeric Moisturizer was on the thinner side, but, man, is it watery! I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a moisturizer this thin. From that alone I could tell it would not be moisturizing enough for my dry, dehydrated skin. And that is my main complaint about this product. It is marketed as a moisturizer that can rehydrate skin and is specifically listed as for all skin types. Realistically, I know no moisturizer can do that and no moisturizer can meet the needs of both oily and dry skin, but some of the ingredients (oat kernel flour and oat oil) made me think my skin might like it. The other big negative is the smell. Tumeric is quite odorous. Finally, despite the marketing, I saw no brightening or reduction in redness, though I did not use the moisturizer more than one day on my face as I need more hydration than it can provide. I will use this up by using it on my hands.
As for the good, the moisturizer is more hydrating than the thin texture would lead you to believe. I believe this is just right for normal to oily skinned people (who are not dehydrated).

I actually created a profile to review this: if you have hypertrophic burn scarring–meaning you’re starting to see raised scarring from, in my case, a misused yag laser, this will calm down the inflammation and start to flatten the scars.
It also will replace a raft of anti-redness rosacea products. I usually use La Roche Posay Double Repair Moisturizer in combination with their anti redness serum. This, alone, gets rid of redness, overnight. If your skin responds well to it, it works almost as well as azelaic acid.
It does smell a little bit like turmeric, and if you have easily irritatable eyes, it’s a good idea to put in protective eye drops before applying it at night.
I use this in conjunction with the Inkey List Multibiotic moisturizer, which is also good for rosacea.

I’m more into natural/organic skincare since a couple of years, as I definitely abandoned skincare containing silicones (a big no-no for my skin… i still use foundation with silicones but am progressively introducing ‘cone free ones!)… and other nasties like parabens, peg, sls, and endocrine disruptors as much as I can.
That said, organic skincare can be a hit or miss. Inkey was a new discovery and I like their philosophy, however this specific moisturiser is nothing to write home about.
Yes it is hydrating, however oily skins will not love it as it doesn’t dry matte. I would recommend it for the evening.
Did its job for me, not a miracle worker but an honest cream and very reasonably priced.
I will not buy it again (not sure even if i can finish my tube) because of the smell; it has VERY, very strong turmeric (=curry) smell and i really can’t stand it. It feels misplaced in a face cream! (You smell and think of an Indian kitchen or restaurant). So…. be aware of the smell!

Turmeric is very trendy right now, and I believe it is a good antioxidant- but not the end all be all of antioxidants. Turmeric is just a good antioxidant that provides skin soothing benefits. I believe that skin needs several different beneficial ingredients instead of just focusing on one or two ingredients.
The nice thing about The Inkey List Turmeric Cream Moisturizer is that this also contains several other beneficial ingredients such as oat kernel, squalane, palmatic acid, vitamin e, lecithin, and more. This is a very hydrating moisturizer, but I could see how those with oily or normal skin could use it without finding it greasy or overly hydrating. With my dry skin this works well with my other moisturizers, since it is winter I’ve simply added this to my routine and it gave my skin extra hydration that it needed.
I also love that this is an affordable turmeric cream, well packaged, fragrance free, and does not contain drying alcohols. I do recommend using this in the evening because unless you use a primer with it foundation does not always sit well over this cream.
The only other downside to this is that it does have a strong turmeric (kind of like curry) scent to it when it is applied, but it does dissipate. If you are interested my video review can be seen here: U
