I received a travel size set of their cleanser, balancer, & lotion in this red line. From blog: “Jinyulhyang line: targeted to customers aged 40 years old but also suitable for those younger/older as it helps for all skin types, main ingredients include red ginseng, jujube (Chinese dates) and pomegranate.”
As with all Whoo products, there’s a very heavy perfume scent. This one did smelled like an “old ancient lady,” but I got used to it over time. I would avoid this if you are sensitive to scents. Their packaging is normally a heavy duty glass jar. My travel size samples came in a heavy duty plastic jar that was in a similar shape to the regular sized product. Due to the shape of the jar, the material, and the product thickness, I left about one or two more uses in the jar because it just wouldn’t drip down from the sides.
I tried to test everything on its own as well as together as a whole, but overall I wasn’t impressed. I used this lotion as an emulsion for my dry/dehydrated skin – an extra moisturizer after the balancer & before a final night cream. It’s texture is light, easy to spread on the skin, but has a richness to it.
Even though my skin isn’t in its 40s yet, I was much more impressed with the results I had with a travel set from Sulwhasoo than History of Whoo. I would suggest purchasing samples if you can before spending heavy money on this line.
