This cream ticks all the boxes: it is rich, yet not heavy not pore clogging (I have combo skin!).
I have had several deluxe stubes and a mini pot; I used this on an off as I consider it a trat and not a go-to, ordianry moisturizer (too expensive)
I only used it at night, or in winter on very cold days. The texture is divine, so is the scent (pls note this is a havy floral scent, super elegnt and refined but if you don’t like your skincare to be scented, steer clear).
The results are amazing: skin is plumped, feels soft and pampered. Never had any breakout of adverse reaction. Really a treat to yout skin.
I so love this. I only wish it were less expensive.

One definitely gets sticker shock seeing the price on this one. But it truly is an amazing product. Its super luxurious and rich cream. It leaves skin moisturized, plumped and younger looking.
Even though its expensive it does work well, lasts a long time and Chanel skincare is still some of the best skincare Ive ever used.

Expensive cream, not worth it. While it is hydrating and moisturizing, it did not do anything where I felt “WOW!” I felt a little duped that I spent so much on this. For the money I would expect WOW results.

Aha? Another super cream by a reputable brand renowned for their fragrances, make-up line, bags, accessories, clothings, etc…
Actually, I was very impressed with these super expensive creams that claimed to address all aspects of the aging signs where one creams fits all and will do the job where all the best are in one single cream when it was initally launched.
But alas, just like Guerlain Imperiale Orchidee, then comes the serum and so does Sublimage.
Why have such an expensive cream which should do all the job, and yet have to add a complimentary serum of the same line?
Isn’t all that are necessary are concerntrated and being formulated in the one cream itself?
This really pissed me off as I think this should not be the case as this is just like trying to squeeze more $$$ from the buyers since the cream is claimed to be able to addressed all aging concerns in the first place when it was launched!!!
So, another no no for me….no matter how good they claim the cream to be.
Sorry…I have now moved to another super cream that is Shiseido’s Future Solution LX. At least they do not have a serum at this juncture of time.

Had to redo my review; after trying multiple night creams over a span of months I’ve realized to my wallet’s horror that nothing came close to the effect of this cream. When I first tried this it was summer, my skin was at its oiliest, and I admittedly used too much, hence my initial 1-lippy review. However coming back to this in November and being more careful with the application has shown this cream to be calming and hydrating without erupting my skin. Vanilla is my favorite taste and scent so the fragrance doesn’t bother me, and it’s a rich vanilla rather than a BBW-type vanilla. It absorbs quickly, and in the morning my face looks radiant and rested without looking greasy. I don’t mind jars so the packaging doesn’t bother me–just use a spatula and quickly close the jar.
What *does* bother me is the price. To quote MBB, “someone forgot to tell Chanel about the economy”. While this is a nice cream, it’s not $400 nice. Maybe if I was older, had more pronounced wrinkles, and drier skin I’d see much more obvious benefits and thus be more willing to shell out the big bucks. For now though I’ll stick with organic argan oil as my night moisturizer and use my sample jar of this cream as a once-in-a-while treat for my skin if it’s feeling especially dry.

I like Chanel Regenerating Cream, Texture Universelle. But then again, I’d like any cream that has the first two listed ingredients: water and glycerin. Water is always a good base and glycerin always plumps up, minimizes lines and really alleviates dry areas while being non-irritating. Then again, it’s also incredibly cheap and not worth putting out $375 for a 1.7 ounce bottle of it, even if it’s by Chanel and they’ve added some exotic form of vanilla. Exotic or not, vanilla oil is just vanilla oil and, while an excellent moisturizer and anti-oxident in it’s own right,again, not worth putting out $375 for a 1.7 ounce jar.
Now, I have for years used Avon’s Moisture Therapy Hand Cream. It has an excellent glycerin base (as does Chanel’s Sublimage Regenerating Cream) and little fragrance. You can actually dot this hand cream under your eyes and on that area of one’s throat where one gets crepey fine lines and get reieif from dryness and a plumping effect of the under-eye area and fine lines disappear. Why? It’s glycerin based, it does that. For $3.99 a tube (a 3 ounce tube). So WHY pay $375 for a 1,7 ounce jar (lovely jar though) of basically the same thing? Add a few drops of vanilla oil to Avon’s Moisture Therapy hand Cream, you’ve got the same thing.
There are some products out there that actually hold moisture in a little better for much longer, but these contain hyaluronic acid. Chanel Sublimage does not, ROC does (plus ROC contains retinol), And ROC skin treatments cost about $20 (or a little less at Walgreens)
So, while I intend to use up my sample of Chanel sublimage (and I do like it), I don’t intend to buy it. And this comes from a woman who generally loves all things Chanel. Well, all fashions and fragrances anyway. I am not really sold on their skincare or makeup.
Now, an aside on the jar. It’s adorable but not practical. It’s clunky, o.k. for the one’s boudior but impractical to carry around. And it is not very hygenic. I would prefer if it came in a tube, much more hygenic and practical for carrying around with one.
Overall, this is one Chanel product which I cannot recommend. Save your $$$ and get the ROC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Filler with Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid.

Yes, it IS a CHEAP but relaible moisturizer, you can pick it up in any grocery store), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter, a cheap and realiable skin softener), Ocyldodecanol, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Pentylene Glycol, Cammellia Kissi Seed Oil (Nice Moistuizer available at many botanists shops), Jojoba Esters, PEG-75 Stearate, Butylenen Glycol, Ammonium Acryloydimethytaurate/VP Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Tocophery Acetate, , Ceteth-20, Steareth-20, Parfum (Fragrance), Phenoxethanol, Methylparaben, Bisobolol, Caprylyl Glycol, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract (Good product, moisturizes, not much of it in this product, see how far down the ingredients list it is, doesn’t justify the $375 price), Xanthan Gum, Vanilla Planifolia Extract (Vanilla is an excellent source of anti=oxidants but STILL doesn’t justify $375 a jar, you can buy vanilla oil at Trader Joe’s), Disodium EDTA, Sodium Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycyrriza Glabra (Licorice Root Extract), Tocopherol, Palitoyl Oligopeptide, Butylparaben, Palmitoyl Parapeptide-3, Ethylparaben, Citric Acid, Propylparaben, Cl 14700 (Red 4), CL15985 (Yellow 6), CL 19140 (Yellow 5)

This product was a sample and I tried it last night and again this morning.
The Good
The packaging is very impressive and chic – the usual Chanel style. There is no real smell worth mentioning. The texture is creamy and it goes on really nicely. My skin looks nice and feels soft to touch.
The Bad
After a few hours my skin feels really tight and dehydrated.
The Ugly
Its outragously expensive
I definately would not buy this product

I am completely loving a sample this. I have skin that tends to oily with large pores and can sometime be sensitive. I struggle with creams that are either too rich or too harsh. In the space of a week my pores appear reduced, tone more even and oil balanced a bit better – leaves a dewy appearance rather than strictly mattifying. I am pretty lucky not to have any wrinkles so not so worried about that side of things Will have to see whether I can get another sample and give it some more time before I can commit to paying for a full size (although much cheaper online). The scent makes it a very indulgent experience!

love the smell of vanilla in this product….love the feel of it on my skin…loaded with anti-oxidants….love it….I hate the price thought $375 is alot :(…..if they could have made it a little more affordable I ‘m sure they would have a larger market….

The price tag on this cream is hilarious and obnoxious (I didn’t pay it, I had a huge sample pot). I have very dry skin (and I use retin-a) and the Texture Universelle just didn’t give me the moisture I needed, so I usually had to apply another cream on top. Other things I didn’t like were the slightly waxy quality and the very strong (and ugly) fragrance. I own perfume, thank you very much, I don’t need it in my skincare. Is this Chanel’s attempt at making people feel like they got their money’s worth? Skincare and fragrance all in one? lol. It did have a nice effect on my skin and made it soft, but there are other products that can do this for far less money. I prefer to use more proven products with dermatologist reccommended ingredients (like C, E, and Ferulic serum, Retin-A, M2, moisturizers with Centella Asiatica, etc).
