A tacky thick white unscented cream. Texture is interesting, it feels like a cross between a thick gel and a heavy oil-based cream. It needs to be massaged in well to absorb, otherwise it sits heavily on the face. Its mostly based on 64% snail gel, then glycerin, then olive oil based fats…and sits on the skin like you’d expect from those ingredients. Very sticky and tacky, wet, and slightly greasy. It feels cooling on my skin as it dries. Then after 10 minutes my skin feels tight, almost as if it has a mask on, yet feels tacky and stick to the touch. I have combo skin, and it doesn’t work for either area, in fact it makes each area feel worse. My normal cheeks feel tight and uncomfortable. While my slightly oil T-Zone becomes super oily and greasy feeling. Too sticky and shiny and makes my makeup break down for day, not hydrating enough for cheeks at night. My skin looks a bit dull and lifeless after using this for a while. My best guess is its for dry skin layered with other more hydrating products.

This is a very good moisturizer! It makes my skin super soft and supple. I use it under makeup and at night. Very gorgeous straight to the point cream that I will certainly repurchase.

This was an all around good moisturizer for all skin types I feel like. I have combination, sensitive and acne prone skin, and this does not irritate and cause any breakouts. Its very moisturizing and I would only need a little over a pea sized amount for my face and neck. This soothes irritation, dry patches and redness overnight.
I have recently found a new HG moisturizer which works even better than this one (it’s the Topicare Ceramide Soothing Cream), where this newly loved one also makes your skin super soft as if wearing a primer. Hence, I will not be repurchasing this cream. However, this is still a very great moisturizing cream overall and I would recommend this to anyone.

Benton Snail Bee Steam Cream is not only a HG product for me, but also at the top of my HG products list. If I was stranded on an island and could only have one product with me, Snail Bee steam cream would be the one I would take.
This soothes, moisturizes, and protects my sensitive, dehydrated, and rosacea affected skin like no other cream I have used. I use it mostly at night after double cleansing my skin, and in the morning my facial redness is greatly reduced. My skin feels soft and hydrated without being greasy.
While I usually use this cream at night, I sometimes use it during the day during the winter when the air is cold and dry. This is a thick, rich cream and the trick to using it without having it look too shiny for the day is to use a small amount and massage it in. Steam Cream feels luxurious without the hefty price tag of other rich creams.
If you are thinking of buying this, I suggest you go through a trusted company so that you don’t run the risk of getting a counterfeit product. I buy this through SOKO Glam, which sells genuine products and has great customer service.

This was the first korean skincare moisturizer i tried, and so far the best (I’ve also tried COSRX Snail AIO and Beauty of Joseon Dynasty cream).
I found this moisturizer thick and hydrating, while also being easy to absorb. My two complaints are the price ($20ish for 50ml?!) and the packaging (I had to cut off the top and scoop the product into a a small tin when there was about 15ml left). I might buy again if I don’t find anything better.

When I first got this Benton was all the rave.
I tried to like it. Hell at first it worked well and I had super plump dewy skin. But as time progressed it stopped working. I don’t know why but I used it up and stopped buying it.

*edit* 10/09/17: I find I have to use an additional occlusive moisturiser on top of this otherwise it’s not moisturising enough even though I am combination/oily. It definitely is a slow but steady worker in terms of healing. It doesn’t prevent acne but when irritating products are absent from my routine it contributes towards skin healing (reduced break outs and scarring).
After using this product nightly (sometimes in the morning too) for a month I can safely say I love it and it continues to do good things for my skin! My combination skin is nicely hydrated (no oil slick) and it contributes to reducing acne and scarring. I love that there is no fragrance or alcohol for my sensitive skin. It is one of the more effective snail products I’ve used and I’ve tried Mizon (all in one – similar healing effects but the jar packaging diminished its effectiveness especially with continued use – and black – broke me out), Scinic (cream – broke me out) and Cosrx (essence – only good for hydration). Minus one lippie because of the small size (50g) however I would keep repurchasing.

Skin & Tonics has a wonderful review that pushed me to try it. It’s a very inexpensive, simple, no frills kind of product, but with tons of great benefits. It ranges from $15-$20 for a 50g tube. The price has definitely gone up since I first read about it, being in the $10-$15 USD price range.
The unscented white cream has a thick texture and does take a little effort to spread the product over your face and massage it in, but the cream absorbs quickly and leaves your skin feeling hydrated. And with just the right amount, it won’t feel too heavy or greasy on your face. Massaging your face has its own benefits too, so just keep massaging! I’m able to wear it both day and night during the winters, usually no makeup on top. It seems very basic, but I feel like with extended use, my skin has improved by being more even-toned, softer, and a little brighter, so you end up not having to wear much makeup over it since it improves your skin.
Overall, I really like how it keeps my skin well moisturized during the dry winter months. This is in addition to other hydrating products in my regimen including first waters, essences, serums, & emulsions. I haven’t found very many creams that will keep my dry/dehydrated skin hydrated all day in the office. The good ones, like Benton, last from about 9AM to 4PM or longer. The not-so-good ones only last till about noon or 1pm.

Not a great cream for me.
First, a few quick words about my skin. Just finished accutane and now on a ‘maintenence dose’ (40mg /week) to keep the oiliness away. So, my skin is ‘normal’ to slightly dry but, above all else, sensitive. Large pores, some wrinkles, no blemishes.
I tried a sample of this along with the essence and I loved it. I purchased full bottles of both products. As time went on, I fell out of love.
The texture is very thick, but I did find my skin felt a bit dry approx 10mins after this had absorbed.(No matter, I always use a sleeping pack.) And speaking of absorption- it takes a while!
I think niacinamide does not agree with my skin, as this seemed to irritate my skin a bit, making my face red.So, any healing benefits of snail slime were made moot by the niacinamide. I didn’t notice any long term effects, either. Wrinkles just as bad, same with pores. And you know what, that’s fine- I expect as much from most products. They can only do so much. But, the irritation- no, I cant live with that.
So in sum- this is thick cream which doesnt absorb easily and doesn’t do that great a job of hydrating. With so many other great Korean moisturisers out there, I’ll happily move on to the next product 🙂

Did I mention my skin is dry? Like really dry. Because I use tretinoin and I have dry skin to begin with so now I need serious moisture to keep my skin hydrated all day and this definitely does the job. I mean, yes, you use more than a pea sized amount and it will turn even Sahara-like skin into an oil slick, but hey, if you can reign in your need to slather your face in this cream it will leave your skin dewy and luminous. This and the matching essence (which my skin loooves) might be my favourite AB products. Certainly they’re the two that I’ve repurchased over and over and haven’t strayed from in the last year, which for someone who has serious skincare commitment issues says a lot. But it really is the perfect finishing layer; just emollient enough to create a layer between my skin and the rest of the world, all while calming even my sensitive, acne prone skin.
