this is my favorite moisturizer. I use it every morning. it hydrates all day long. it is a gel consistency and as per instructions, it only takes a dime sized amount to apply to the entire face. the gel consistency easily spreads all over and absorbs quickly so less is more when using this. this moisturizer really hydrates and keeps my skin looking hydrated, healthy while keeping it supple, soft and smooth. it works great in conjunction with the night cream from this anti fatigue line (see my review on it). this is a brilliant product line that is affordable and really works that gets no love. I’m always recommending this and all the anti Fatigue line

Oh my god. Oh my GOD. I’m so glad I bought this. It had the most soothing texture and goes on like liquid, but comes out a light blue gel, almost like shaving cream before it puffs up. It’s quite expensive for a drugstore moisturizer here in Canada, 25$, but I think it’s well worth it. My skin drinks it up and is soft to the touch after. I get excited to put it on every day!

this is such a good light weight moisturizer, especially good for oily skin types since it’s water-based.
I have combination skin and I love it too. I like to use it underneath a matte sunscreen in the summer and it is moisturizing enough.
sometimes I use it at night after all my treatment and serums
you can’t see how much product u gave left in the bottle, which is my only complaint.

Skin type: super sensitive, fairly acne-prone, oily dehydrated
I have been using this moisturizer for a month now, and it is a pretty good moisturizer. They call it a “cream hydra-gel” but it’s definitely more of a silicone-y gel. I tend to think of creams as being thicker than lotions, more emollient, definitely not lightweight, and this product most certainly doesn’t fit that description. It has a smooth, silicone-y feel to it that is lightweight and absorbs well without balling up.
I like using this in the morning under makeup, as it doesn’t make my face greasy upon application or cause it to get greasy throughout the day. I have to use another moisturizer in my dry areas on top though, as it doesn’t quite do enough for me on its own. The bottle says to use a pea-sized amount for face and neck, and I find that to be not nearly enough. I need about twice that amount to feel as though I have adequately covered my face and neck. By the end of the day, my skin feels much drier than it does when I’ve used my other gel moisturizer instead.
My favorite gel moisturizer is the Dr. Lin daily hydrating gel, which I mix in with a bit of the Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer for sensitive skin because on its own it can ball up before being fully absorbed into the skin, and the lotion mixed in prevents that from happening. I was hoping that this new Garnier moisturizer would be like the Dr. Lin gel/Neutrogena mixture I make as one step. Unfortunately, it isn’t as hydrating as the Dr. Lin gel. It’s maybe 80% as moisturizing, so for someone with super oily skin, this could be a real winner for under makeup. I dislike the fake berry scent they added to it, and would much prefer it be scentless.
The packaging has all these claims about how this moisturizer will plump skin and make it look revitalized and healthier in the long run… yeah not so much. It moisturizes, and that’s about it. My skin doesn’t look more radiant or revitalized after using it for a month.
Pros:
-Super lightweight, non greasy, would be ideal for super oily skin
-Hygienic pump packaging
-Does not break me out
-Doesn’t irritate skin at all
-Doesn’t ball up when applied like many gel moisturizers do
Cons:
-Not moisturizing enough on its own for my skin
-$16 for 1.7 fl. oz. is pretty pricey for a drugstore moisturizer, especially since I have to use twice as much as directed which means one bottle will last half as long as it’s supposed to
-Fake berry scent is unnecessary and kind of icky
-Doesn’t live up to its claims
Overall, it would probably be a good choice for super oily skin. Unfortunately, if you deal with any sort of dryness, this likely won’t be moisturizing enough on its own. The Dr. Lin hydrating gel/Neutrogena oil-free moisture for sensitive skin combination is much more hydrating and much cheaper per fluid ounce than this moisturizer. This isn’t a bad product, it just isn’t that great either in my opinion.

This stuff literally feels like water going on the skin; the consistency is confusing at first so make sure to not over apply!! A little goes a LONG way to moisturize and smooth out dehydrated skin (I have extremely oily yet super dehydrated skin with lots of dry patches), and this stuff is the bombbbbbbbbb.
I don’t have a single bad thing to say about it. I can see this being heaven sent for any skin type, and for being an awesome canvas for makeup, as well.
Just don’t over apply! Just because it has a thin consistency doesn’t mean it’s not doing it’s job (and doing its job very well might I add!) My skin looks and feels fresh all day with this

I’ve been really loving Garnier’s skincare products lately (The Ultra-Lift Sleep Miracle cream does wonders for my skin in the summer) so when I was looking around for a new lightweight moisturizer for daytime use I wanted to see what options Garnier had. I saw that they just launched this moisturizer and it sounded exactly what I was looking for, so I wanted to give it a shot. I ordered this on Amazon for $14.99 which is what I saw it for in CVS. I didn’t get it there because I wanted to do some research beforehand, and the few reviews I read gave it glowing recommendations.
I’ve been using this moisturizer religiously for the last month, and my skin is really loving it!
This moisturizer is a really lightweight gel formula that is dispensed by a pump, and is an opaque, yet translucent light blue color that almost looks like it could glow in the dark, lol. It’s a very wet formula instead of creamy, but isn’t runny, and it absorbs into the skin pretty quickly. It reminds me of Biore’s UV Aqua Riche water based sunscreen in consistency when applying. You don’t need much, one full pump will be enough for your entire face and maybe a half pump more for your neck.
The scent IS rather cloying, and sweet though. It’s not your typical “Garnier scent”, it smells like berries. It’s not the greatest scent ever, but it’s not a deal breaker either, and it dissipates within 10 mins or so. Once the gel is absorbed, my skin feels very dewy and comfortably moisturized without being tacky or greasy or feeling weighed down by a heavy cream.
This moisturizer does have quite a bit of dimethicone in it that initially gives you the baby soft skin feel. This may be a deal breaker for some and I’ll admit, I was worried about it because I have combo skin and sometimes too much dimethicone (a derivative of silicone) makes me oilier or breaks me out. However, so far this moisturizer has not affected my skin in any negative way. If anything, I’ve been able to forgo foundation primer as this moisturizer acts as a beautiful primer in itself. My makeup applies so much nicer than with any of the other moisturizers I have tried under makeup in recent memory, and my makeup doesn’t slide around after a few hours either! Even though the dimethicone gives kind of a false initial sense of softness, continued use over the past few days has increased the overall softness of my skin. This is even apparent after showering and cleansing before I’ve even applied the moisturizer. I’m really pleased and relieved that this isn’t one of those products that fakes soft skin by relying on dimethicone as an ingredient without providing actual softening properties.
This moisturizer also has a very slight cooling effect while applying to the skin. It’s not overly aggressive or irritating and stops by the time the gel is absorbed and dried.
So far, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the tone of my skin since using. I’m typically rather blotchy around my nose and chin, and have some hyperpigmentation around my temples. This moisturizer has left my skin looking brighter, more even, and finer lines seem to be smoothed and less noticeable, especially after makeup application. The last few days I’ve been able to use light coverage foundation without having to use concealer, and that’s pretty remarkable since the last few months I’ve been needing more coverage than usual to even my skin out.
All in all, I’d say this is a total must try if you’re looking for something effective and light, and especially if you have combo skin that gets particularly dry in the colder months, or if your skin is looking ashy or dull. I’m going to continue using (twice a day; once after showering/cleansing in the morning and at night after cleansing and serums) and if the last month has been any indication of what I can expect from continued use, this moisturizer just might get a HG status.

I had never used Garnier face products until I decided to try Ultra-lift night cream. I saw a definite improvement in my skin and so went back to Walmart to get a second jar. There was a display case of the Anti- fatigue products and so decided to try the sleeping cream. I saw even more improvement and went back to purchase the Miracle Wake-up Hydra -Gel Moisturizer. This moisturizer is wonderful! My make up looks amazing (Palladio we& Dry foundation.)
Through the years I have used many high end brands to drug store products and in my opinion this product beats anything I have used in the past. I learned many years ago that there was no need to spend a large amount of money on products when there were many drug store brands who gave the same or better results.
I’m VERY happy with the results I see from this brand and plan to repurchase.

I’ve been dealing with my extreme combination skin now for a while now and I’ve been on the search for a moisturizer that took care of my driest areas along with my very oily t-zone. This is it. This might be my holy grail moisturizer because it not only keeps my skin comfortable all day but it doesn’t leave my t-zone an oily mess. Oh, and my skin is SO SOFT. Really, give it a try. It’s more than worth it!

May be HG status. This is very moisturizing despite being in a gel form. LIghtweight, doesn’t break me out, makes my skin feel like silk. Will repurchase.
