This was recommended to me by my dermatologist for sunspots. It worked wonderfully removing brown splotches and lightening and brightening. I use it every day-2 x a day and my skin is in great shape. I am 53 and this keeps my skin subtle and soft. I do sometimes use a moisturizer over it and treat it more like a “treatment”. Great Product. Cannot go wrong with this one!

This is my HG moisturizer. I started using this product when suggested by my dermatologist many years ago. I have purchased it so many times I have lost count. The packaging is simple, clean and great for travel. I used to buy it at my dermatologist’s office but then found out I can get it at a much better price if I search around online. I recently got a great deal on NIA24 at Overstock.com of all places! This moisturizer is lightweight but don’t let that fool you, it does the job very well. I am 53 and my skin looks ten years younger, this moisturizer has helped with undoing sun damage and keeping my skin supple. I have tried all sorts of higher-end moisturizers and keep going back to this one. It doesn’t look as sexy or smell delicious (actually it doesn’t smell at all) but it is a fantastic product and I’ll stick with it.

I got a deluxe sample of this from birchbox or some other company and I was excited to try it. however, I had to wash it off due to the intense perfume smell it has. Let me tell you, if you get migraines from scents or you do not want your skin care products to have a long lasting perfume scent, you should pass on this. It smells like a perfume I hated from Bulgari called Rose Essentielle which did not smell like roses lol. This cream is so scented it would clash with a perfume if you wear one. This cream is so scented that I’m getting a headache from a brief few minutes of smelling it. This cream makes me sad because I actually don’t mind if something is slightly scented, it’s not a deal breaker, and I really wanted to experience a strengthened skin barrier. But it is *unusably* strongly scented. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

I LOVE Nia24 Skin Strenghtening complex. I’m always on the lookout for antiaging facial creams – I’ve tried dozens, mostly in the higher-end price range. Loyal, I’m not – until now. I bought this for my face but began straight-away using it on my neck as well. What can I say about my 48 year old neck… crepey!! It stared about 3 years ago and in the past six months has become a fixation each time I look in the mirror. Not dramatic crepeyness but I was on the slippery slope to crepeness.
Nia24 Skin Strenghtening Complex has changed all that. Within two weeks I noticed a HUGE difference. To the point that I have stopped fixating on my neck!! My face seems fresher too… a bit younger, a bit plumper.
I had a few spots a few weeks ago (I’m a month into using the product) but normally do mid-cycle… no change this month. For those who aren’t overly prone to breakouts and/or want to focus on neck skin, I would highly recommend this cream.

I also found this product to be a nightmare. It created a huge, throbbing pimple smack in the middle of my forehead. I rarely get blemishes and this was the only new product I introduced to my skin so I know it was the cause. This pimple could not be relieved in any way and was visible for weeks. As far as blurring lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation, I didn’t use the cream long enough to find out. There are products out there that I’m sure work just as well that don’t cause massive breakouts before they start to do what they’re designed to do. NIA 24 Skin Strengthening Complex is not a keeper and I’m so glad I got a sample before splurging on this “acne causing complex”.

Unfortunately, this product ended up being a total nightmare disaster… The packaging says break outs are natural when first using the product & to wait it out because it will be worth the wait ….. I noticed my skin reacting to it, but I waited three weeks because, as most good things do, it gets worse before it gets better … I noticed a bunch of red bumps appearing. A mix between what seemed like cystic bumps and a weird allergic reaction. I finally decided to stop using the product because the red bumps WOULD NOT go away… After discontinuing use the red bumps did go away…. And formed into horrible under the skin scars. I have been getting facials and putting mederma on my skin morning & night to try to rid of the scars … So far, no luck. I hate looking at my skin in the mirror now because of these big scars! I really really really regret using this product… 🙁

sigh..I am on second week of trying this product and am on the fence…it came recommended at dermatologist. My skin is combination sensitive and very sun damaged. I have been using lancome for the past 6 months and wanted to get away from heavy scent that irratates. my skin looked great with the lancome but constantly pitched. So..second week with Nia using creme cleanser and skin strengthing here are the pros and cons..
skin feels fabulous .. soft and calm..
skin not looking too hot though..I do have some red bumps (no big deal) but it does appear my sun spots are comming back. ugh..so better feeling skin vs better looking skin…I did purchase the mineral sun screen..can’t beat sun block that is good for skin and makes a great primer as well! going to get a sample of the serum to see if that helps.

I like everything about this product. I’ve used it on and off over the past couple of years and lately it’s been the one moisturizer I keep going back to. It doesn’t make me breakout. I like the scent. It’s not too crazy expensive.
EDIT: 12/5/14 – Okay, I think the price of this has gone up substantially, but I have returned to this again because it seems to be the best product for my skin and really feels good, smells good AND makes a visible difference in the appearance and texture of my skin. I can justify the price of this over Chanel due to that fact.

As I write this, I have dozens and dozens of tiny angry red bumps all over the bottom half of my face, the likes of which I have never seen before, as well as two giant cystic pimples near my hairline. My skin is very clear 99.99% of the time and is not particularly sensitive, and on the very rare occasion that I get a pimple or two, it will be somewhere in my t-zone, which these pimples are nowhere near. Suffice to say I’m pretty horrified.
Unfortunately I’ve been using this moisturizer as a night cream for 3 nights and this is the only product in my regimen that has changed, so I would have to assume this is the culprit. I’m not daring enough to continue using it to see if it is indeed the case. After the first night, I noticed a handful of red bumps (like 3 or 4, not over 60 like I have now – and yes I counted out of sheer disbelief) but thought it was maybe the cold air irritating my skin. The beginnings of one tiny pimple showed up after night 2, which made me suspicious and voila – after night 3, my entire face is protesting in anger! Too bad because I really liked the consistency and had high hopes for it given the reviews. Never again!

I recently tried to revamp my skincare routine because I have a massive breakout of acne at age 30 (combination of hormonal and teenage like deep pimples!) and wrinkles forming… my skin is combination oily but using retinoids made my skin parched on my cheeks (more combination dry)….I even ditched the makeup and shelled out money for treatments/regimen by Roc, PTR, First aid beauty, Origins, Arcona, Somme, Dr. Haushcka, Ole henriksen, and Clinique…all pricey but did not really improve my condition. I was on a skin care binge and I was in Sephora each week desperate to find something that works with my skin. Then I saw good reviews about NIA24 and decided to try it. Two weeks of use and i was AMAZED! my skin tone is more even, larger pimples have subsided and the best part is it decreased the hyperpigmentation caused by pimple scars! I now have this luminosity and my skin feels much more “plump”. My skin LOVES this stuff! i have converted to using NIA 24 SSC and I use it AM and PM (yes i know it is pricey but compared to what i spent, it is worth it!). I have been using this for a month and my skin clarity really has improved! I currently use Avene Eluage/Retrinal at night along with NIA24 SSC then in the morning i use EL ANR with NIA24 SSC and Shiseido Urban sunscreen on top.
UPDATE: I would have to add that my small “elevens” are smoothed out and feels “cushier” than before using NIA24 products. It is less pronounced/depressed and does not feel like a “wrinkle” compared to three weeks ago. since it is much smoother, i actually stopped using those frownies! I am definitely impressed and now i can stop thinking about trying botox!
