Made my skin oily

Basic light cream. Doesn’t hydrate or absorb well, leaves skin shiny looking and sticky feeling. Irritates my normal sensitive skin and causes tiny itchy clogged pores every time I use it.
I gave it to my husband who has extremely dry skin and it doesn’t break him out. He does have to layer it with facial oil as its very light on moisture. He’s been using this continually for the last 4 months (fullsize, lots of deluxe minis) and this hasn’t made a difference to his skin at all.
Ole claims this has Vitamin C and Kojic acid, for brightening, reduced redness and fresher looking skin. But the active ingredient Vitamin C breaks down within a 4 – 6 weeks (unless its waterless formula, which this is not), and even faster if its exposed to air in an open jar like this. Terrible packaging and not a great formula. I don’t believe it has enough active or stabilised ingredients so is really just an overpriced basic cream with overhyped marketing. In contrast, Olay Miracle Boost Serum has reduced hubby’s redness and brightened his skin dramatically within a few months. The active ingredient of Olay is Niacinimide and is high up enough on the ingredient list to be effective, according to The Beauty Brains. And its much cheaper!

This did not work for me at all. This product instantly caused me a terrible breakout all over my face (even areas where I never break out). The texture is very liquidy, which I did not enjoy. I am not a fan of such a liquidy formula in a jar. It does hydrate but at the expense of also sitting atop the skin feeling sticky (even in the winter), causing a terrible break out, not working well under foundation, having an unpleasant texture and smelling not so great. Sensitive and break-out prone skins be very careful!

In addition to purchasing this as part of the 3 Little Wonders set, I received a few sample packets of this with a beauty order but was not impressed with the texture or efficacy of this moisturizer. I found this to leave my skin feeling quite sticky and shiny. It wasn’t horrible but not worth the price for what it does. I get better results and enjoy my usual mositurizer (Embryolisse) so much more than this one. So far, the Banana Bright Eye Creme is the only product I would consider repurchasing from Ole Henriksen.

I am torn about this moisturizer. I like the product. It is sheer (lives up to the name) and I liked using it in the daytime before spf and makeup. I got a smaller size in a set so the jar packaging was fine. I’m not sure I’d want a big jar of it though because I don’t find those convenient. Even though I liked it, almost $50 for a moisturizer seems like a lot!

I got a small sample of this. I don’t like the design of the jar, something about it is very awkward. The price is really high too, for the size of the jar. On to the actual use of the product..I have very dry and sensitive skin, and this felt amazing on my face. It was lightweight but enough to keep my skin hydrated throughout the day. The smell didn’t bother me, I didn’t notice it much if at all.
Would I buy this again? I would, but it wouldn’t be tripping myself to get to Sephora and buy it. I’ve used other moisturizers that are a fraction of the cost of this and they get the job done. It is a nice product, though.

I have already repurchased a few times. this cream is lightweight providing moisture without leaving a film or oily skin. the 2 only downsides are the price and although the packaging is high quality, I wrist it would not be in a jar.

I just finished a jar of this moisturizer and it is incredibly average. Didn’t really love the jar packaging. It feels nice on the skin at first but felt a little heavy for a while until it absorbed, which took a few minutes (not great for a morning routine). I have oily skin and no wrinkles, so I never really see a physical difference with moisturizers, other than oil levels, and this product didn’t seem to make my skin any oilier than it normally is, which is a good thing. Not TOO pricey, and this jar lasted many months, which is also positive. But since I didn’t really see a difference and it took a long time to absorb, I’ve gotta dock some stars.

Let me preface this by saying I am not typically averse to using a moisturizer that contains silicone, but this one has so much that it was balling up on my skin while I applied. It left my skin still feeling thirsty because it just sat on top and didn’t actually moisturize. The day after I used it, the I had a series of whiteheads across my forehead, where I never breakout, and the skin around my nose was peeling. I will be returning this and sticking to Renewed Hope in a Jar by Philosophy.

Blah no difference after using. Definitely did not moisturize my skin. This little guy is actually the reason I took the little gift package back.
