This is my daily moisturiser, I use it every morning after washing my face with cold water (no soap). It absorbs quickly and makeup sits well on the top. I love Neal’s Yard products and have a few go-to staples from the rose range that I repurchase time and time again and this is one of them. A pot will last me a good 4 months, the cream itself is thick and not too strongly scented (unlike some of the other rose products) and a little goes a long way. One fingertip is enough to cover my entire face and neck.
Well worth the money in my book!

Advantages- nice blue jar although unhygenic from dipping your hands in
– nice when first put on face but nothing special for the price i paid
– other neal yards products are ok but this particular one dissapointed me greatly
– reasonable amount but seen as the cream didnt do much for me it was pointless
disadvantages- expensive
– after absorbed my skin felt dry and tight
– skin was very dry
-gave me spots

I’ve recently decided to use more ‘natural’ products on my face. I had all my other skincare taken care of but was in dire need of a good moisturiser as shea butter was far too rich to be used on my face.
After a lot of looking around, I decided to give this a shot. The price was around £20 [I figured it’s not dirt cheap so should be a quality product but isn’t ridiculously expensive so hopefully it wont be a gimmicky product]
It arrived in a purple glass tub, nice to look at but a little impractical. [I have a thing about tubs, find them a bit unhygienic] Anyway, the smell isn’t pleasant. It reminds me of the smell in ‘Elizabeth Arden’s 8 hour Cream’ only it’s not as strong.
It does an ‘OK’ job. It’s not as rich as I was expecting…I think it would suit ‘normal/oily’ skin types. If you have dry skin though, I don’t think this would do enough for you. It doesn’t seem to be doing anything great for my skin but it’s not exactly made it worse either. I find it good as a morning cream/base for my make-up.
I don’t think I will repurchase. I’ll wait till I’ve finished the cream to see if it made any difference to justify paying up another £20.

I absolutely adore NYR products. I used to use Body Shop but changed when I noticed a drop in quality after L’Oreal bought them. I use this moisturizer with the Calendula Cleanser and Lavender Water, and my skin has not looked this good in a while. I have combo skin with lots of oil/breakouts around my nose and chin but dry spots on my cheeks. This moisturizer is light enough for the oily zones but thick enough for the dry spots. Every now and then I have to add a little more if I have flakiness, but that’s not usually a problem. Since I have used these products my skin has cleared, the redness is going down, and I am much less sensitive. I’ve introduced this line to my mom and some friends, and everyone has had great results from the stuff they’ve tried. This is more expensive than DS skin care products, but I bought my first jar in February and still have not used all of it (I use it twice a day and scoop out enough to cover the top of my ring finger) so you get good value for your money. AND all the ingredients are safe for the environment and produced ethically, which is really important for me. I can’t recommend these products enough.

Great moisturizer, perfect for my combination skin. I have been using it both as day and night cream. It is rich in texture and nourishes the skin very well, yet it’s not greasy and absorbs really well, too. Even after the first use I could feel the difference – the skin was much smoother and velvetier and became more matte yet well moisturized. The smell is very nice, too, and the jar lasts for a while. Will definitely buy again.

I have combination, very acne-prone skin, with large pores and oily t-zone, and dry spots from my blemishes (lovely, isn’t it?).
i was enticed by Neal Yard’s by a 20%discount coupon in a magazine, and plus, had read loadsa blog entries about Neal’s Yard products and wanted to give them a try.
The sales assistant was lovely, and recommended this moisturiser for my skin type. I really love the smelll; rose but not too overpowering. it gives the perfect amount of moisture, smooths my flaky bits and doesnt make me oil. it just balances my skin.
I use this in the morning and evening with no problems, and I’ve had no breakouts from this product. I love it!
My only gripe is the fact it comes in a jar (a pretty blue glass jar tho) so it isnt THE most hygenic thing in the world, but I always make sure I have clean hands when I’m putting them near my face anyway, so not really an issue.
I’d definiately repurchase!

perfect for oily to combination skin!

I have normal to oily skin and I love this product. I often use it as a night cream, but I can use it during the day as well. It has a nice light scent that dissipates quickly and the texture is lovely. It’s very creamy but sinks in right away. I have bought it several times and will continue to do so. The ingredients are gentle and it has no chemicals. Do something good for yourself and give Neal’s Yard a try.

Bought this after falling in love with some other NY products. I found this not nearly moisturising enough for my combination skin; it didn’t do anything for the appearance of my skin and left it feeling a bit parched, even on the oily bits. Texture and smell are ok, nothing to write home about. It’s not a bad product, per se, just not particularly special. A very light moisturiser that would probably best suit young skin or perhaps good as a summer moisturiser.
