Utter FAIL. This cream is a bit of a favorite in the asian beauty reddit community so I was a bit intrigued with the “starfish” ingredient – hoping this ingredient would fill in the small lines near my eyes, etc.
The cream IS moisturizing but not moisturizing enough for my mature, dry to very dry skin YET the cream is film-y, oily and definitely NOT cosmetically elegant on the skin. Icing on the cake – the scent is like cheap men’s cologne. Bleh.
Perhaps this might be better for younger skin that is dry but nonetheless, if you still want to try this, I’d suggest you buy this from a place you can return it (Urban Outfitters for me).
I am 49 yrs old, Korean, with dry skin since my mid 40s (but had combo/oily skin before). People who work in skincare (dermatologists, plastic surgeon nurses, aestheticians, sales people at Bergdorf, Barneys, Saks) think I’m 28-34 so I try to take care of my skin.

Im almost finishing up my returning starfish cream and have used it for months now (night time) and i must say i really really like this cresm. I have combo skin and my dry eyes and cheeks love this. My T zone loves it also as it does not oil up after using it. It keeps my skin really hydrated and i can use it over acne spots without them flaring up but actually healing. I use it over scabs (after picking my face) and it softens them a lot. My eyes are really really dry and this is better than eye cream to me. The only downside is that it doesnt come with a spatulla but ive taken care of that. I must say im a bit dissapointed that they decided to discontinue it but i will try their new version next,

Contrary to what I have read, this provides very little moisture. I did not see any improvement in my skin either, based on this, I would say please sample before you buy. It sinks in quickly but i was left wanting more moisture and I don’t have dry skin.

This product is probably best suited to drier skin types but it contains Dimethicone Crosspolymer which is something I do not want anywhere near my face. As a novelty item, it’s great but as a moisturizer, you are basically putting a thick layer of silicone on your face. No thanks.
