I trialled this as a night serum before I bought, as i believe it acts more as a sort of pressed serum then moisturiser. I honestly love the results. I wake up to smoother skin and it’s really helped with texture issues I’ve encountered in the past. It is pricey but I would say it was worth it, my skin is only getting better the more I use it.

I received this as a sample in my Sephora Play box. I was unsure of trying the serum, as Im not familiar with Algenist products. After reading reviews I thought “Why not, let’s give it a try”
After only two nights of using this my skin already looks amazing. I think this works better at refiner texture and smoothing skin than my current favorite anti aging serum from Vichy. In the morning skin is left feeling soft, glowing and firmer.
It is very thick , but you need to emulsify it to get it to melt down. Then press and gently smooth into skin. It feels amazing and absorbs quickly. I don’t find it too heavy or greasy at all. The smell is divine and reminds me of a coconut butter like smell.
I really didnt want to fall in love with this because its so pricey but it just might be worth the price after all.

Surprised this product doesn’t have more reviews. I got a small jar of this serum as part of a kit that I purchased at sephora. Of all the products in the kit this serum was the one I fell in love with.
It feels so hydrating and refreshing going on and it smells delicious. The scent is like a sweet vanilla but very subtle. The serum is solid in the jar but immediately melts into a serum when applied. It just feels like luxury.
As much as I loved it I didnt think I would ever purchase it again because it’s over a hundred dollars but then I was in sephora one day and they had this on sale at half price and the jar contains 2 full ounces so it was a steal. I bought it and I use it every night before bed. I still love it but I also don’t think I would ever pay full price for it. As lovely and luxurious as it looks and feels I can’t say that it’s actually improved my skin in any way other than making it feel hydrated and I don’t need to spend over a hundred bucks for that. This serum is just an expensive treat that I will only buy if it’s on sale.

Got a sample from Sephora, and it was such a tiny container, I only wore this stuff for about a month, but when I did… ooooh, my skin was soo soft! I couldn’t stop touching my face, which I know we’re not supposed to do ’cause of zits and stuff, but dang, I was soft. And I looooveee the smell of this stuff. It smells kinda sugary? Kinda like cookies? Anyway, I loved everything about it. The consistency was great — not too slimy, not too muddy.
But dang, that price. Maybe another sample will come my way someday, ha!!
